  1. Thermidor scored this whisky 60 points Connoisseur

"Here's Johnny!" Stanley Kubrick's The Moonshining.

Tasted with Chivas Regal 12yo (73 pts.).
    • Nose
Color: orange tinted gold. Obviously colored.

Greasy and metallic first impression. The nose immediately feels more immature and less appealing than Chivas Regal 12 in the glass next to it. Dirty iron, hot lard, a fire made of used freight pallets, and some rubber of the carnival mask kind. A riot at a truck yard maybe? Stale peaches in a tin can forgotten in a fridge (this never happened, no sir). Socks, slightly used. Faintly fishy, like frozen salmon.
    • Taste
Limp, watery body. Tastes as greasy as it smells; a vexing unclean greasiness. Candy liquorice, not the best brand. Guess: 6yo or less on average. Bottom bin stuff yet still a notch above supermarket or other vaguely branded blends (there are some real shockers). I'm actually happy it's not bolder. For once 40% is a plus.
    • Finish
Flat, watered down cola. Not much else, except for this overly sweet, tangy fruitiness.
