the velvety side, fruity, maderized and a little spicy, young but intense.
    • Nose

      honey, velvety, malty, young brandy
    • Taste
      82 82
maderized wine, orange, cooked lemon, then comes the mold, it stings, bitterness despite the sensation of sugar, it is concentrated on the wood of Savoy wine without doubt
      return malted and sweet.

fat, mixed feeling, rather average but long on these aromas a little singular.fun noble.

bottled in 2013 not in 2012, and 1513 bottles produced!

  3. wisekycourse scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

On the nose, malt, dried seeds and characteristic scent of honey!
In the mouth, it's greasy, it stings and it smells strongly of alcohol, with a feeling of eating fir honey, with orange peels and chocolate, strange but nice!
In the end, it's quite short and monolithic, and fat in the mouth!

Full of deposit in the bottom of the bottle.

This is an atypical whiskey. A lot of bitterness, nuts. Surely a very young whiskey.

  5. lachaineduwhisky did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

Not bad, but too simple, monolithic. The barrel of yellow wine dominates. To be interesting to learn about yellow wine elsewhere. Enthusiasm Nose and Mouth 3/5 Final 2/5 Whiskey n ° 1773
    • Nose
Nose marked by the nut. It is generous on malt and chocolate, but paradoxically, promises to be quite buoyant.
    • Taste
Beautiful intensity, quite juicy (evoking the wine of walnut) It lacks - as expected - of corpulence. Honest spices. It is the yellow wine that marks its mark in a strong way.
    • Finish
Short, a little spicy, the alcohol hangs a little.

  6. Rom did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Nut nuts, cellar mushrooms that make me think of the distillery Jura, bigarade, candied orange and dark chocolate.
Candied orange candy and chocolate that reminds of a Sherry but the middle and the final bring too much alcohol.
An atypical but interesting product with its pronounced oxidative nose and the chocolate / orange combo on the palate.

  7. tomy63 scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

light amber color, pleasant nose with some nuts, honey, xeres vinegar, dried fruits. Mouth sadly alcoholic and a bit too young, in the background interesting aromas of nuts, raisins, orange, quite acidic, made more oloroso than yellow wine.

A whiskey a little strange, in "two times", with a mouth set back from the rest. The balance is uncertain, we feel at the same time the base (a whiskey aged 3 years bourbon, perhaps from Glengoyne), and both the finish (2 years in casks of yellow wine). Version tested: 2013
    • Nose
Orange color, but very cloudy. We see that it is not filtered ...
The nose at the opening does not evoke absolutely a whiskey but a glass of Savagnin. Aeration allows you to come back to more familiar bases, a kind of very young whiskey with strange sherry notes. A lot of bitter cocoa, dark chocolate, plenty of nuts, a little cereal, sour cherry and apricot. After the first strange sensation, we must recognize that it is rather complex and well done.
    • Taste
The first pass on the tongue is sharp, bitter, dry, with green nuts, malted barley. Then comes a little creaminess.
    • Finish
Final more in keeping with the nose, oily, on bitter cocoa, wood, nuts.
