The aroma is restrained, stingy, though nice. Revealed for a long time, but gaining noticeably. OBE is present. Layered whiskey, as if slowly dropping clothes, reveals new facets.

An old whiskey, probably bottled more than 30 years ago. I love this kind of profile!
    • Nose
Woh, woh woh! it must be old. Very melted: metal, motor oil, linseed oil, old wood, tobacco, polish, oil, cocoa. It's not very powerful. It is not very powerful but ultra elegant! Great.
    • Taste
Again, we feel it's an old bet. Many OBE, oily texture, marked by a melted mix of wood, linseed oil and cocoa more marked. Old leather very present and a little spice too. Alcohol is totally non-existent. Despite the reduction (40%), it's very expressive.
    • Finish
Moderately long on dried fruits (grapes) and tobacco.

    Blenders Glass.
Just a good old blend. Very drinkable. Nothing outstanding, but if today they made such a quality hood, it would be very cool.

This is a decent old blend, but nothing worth going out of your way or paying silly money for. The nose has vanilla, menthol and pencil shavings and the palate adds some oak spice. There is no finish to speak of. Better old blends can still be found.

Plum, mushroom, oil, earthy, old books, a very interesting one, is it really an Islay?

    http://kaypingers-whiskyblog.de/frontend/fullarticle.php?id=224 Color: Dark gold
Nose: Behaved spiciness on salty base with lemon, china grass, hay and straw. Slightly fresh, but not very fruity. Overall, kept relatively monotone with underlaid wood and flavors of a thin leather-balsamic-raisin mix.
Taste: Spicy and with more fruit than before. Herbs, wood, ripe grapefruit, some dry leather and light earthy notes. Creamy honey, caramel and some smoke.
Finish: Medium length - slightly dry and less fruit again. In addition, the spice decreases. Drying with notes of dry oak boards and soft honey.
Note: Soft and round from nose to finish!
    88 points (nose: 87 / taste: 89 / finish: 87)

Dry fruit, dark chocolate, leather, fruity, sugar cane
      Round and complex
    • Finish
      Long, bitter
