The barrel has done a good job over the past seven years. Fat sherry. Fruity-sour flavors. Pickled cherries. Red fruit jelly. Gooseberries. Marzipan. Leather. Dr. Pepper. The alcohol is well integrated. Oak shows up with some water.
Strong start. Dr. Pepper. Distinct alcohol note. Pepper. Ginger. With a little water, the malt matures with fruity and chocolatey notes.
Long. Cherries. The alcohol makes itself felt. Drying. Dark chocolate. The oak is already very present. Also on the finish, the addition of some water has a positive effect. It shows notes of leather and tobacco.
- Very good, young whisky which however needs some water.
Heavy sherry, but also heavy alcohol rigth from the start. The alcohol is a little too dominant in my opinion. Some drops of water help the sherry fruits to make its way though. Now there are some nice, ripe cherries but as well some bitter-sour blood oranges. Underlined by a very spicy touch at all time.
Powerful, sweet start with heavy sherry influence. The alcohol obvioulsy being over dominant again. This whisky clearly neads water. And I typically do not dilute Cask Strengths. With some water I´m suprised how spicy it is. Quite some oak and bitter chocolate now.
Medium long finish. I´m thinking of Mon Chérie candy as the whisky fades away.
- very nice to drink
He has something individual and is very pleasing
mmh, I like them indeed
Cherries - Sherry
slightly sourish note
Raisins and plums / cherry wine
light alcohol on the palate
a lot of chocolate
easy alcohol, spices
- A true sherry monster and fortunately not sulphurous, so no filling from a hyperactive barrel. Tasting.
- Although a little one-dimensional whisky but what he can he does right - this bottling has earned the name SHERRYBOMBE. I like him "very well"!
Cherry cola, syrup, spiced cake with dried fruit and vanilla, chocolate pudding and mild herbal schnapps after eating. Has a bit of a mulled wine with a dash of Amaretto. Almost typical sweet nose for such a sherry bomb. The alcohol is very well integrated.
Powerful onset, now the alcohol can be felt - slightly peppery but still quite well integrated, very sweet, cola-syrup, milk chocolate,
Chocolate brownie and very ripe red cherries, a hint of oak, the sweetness and the cherry notes remain dominant in the medium-long finish.
