    • Nose
Strong Laphroaig-typical peat smoke, phenolic, medicinal, marine algae, maritime salinity, some iodine. A decent portion of vanilla sweetness with a hint of forest honey and, above all, spicy oak notes gradually crystallize out. Dark fruits, a hint of orange and grapefruit linger quite discreetly in the background. The 48 volume percent seem to be very well integrated. Very complex and harmonious!
    • Taste
Powerful start, wonderful sweetness in the best accompaniment of intensive peat smoke. Very oily, almost creamy mouthfeel - very salivary. The spicy, peppery aromas of the various types of kegs (bourbon casks, quarter casks and Oloroso sherry casks) will not be long in coming. The fruit notes intensify a bit, red apples, some lemon and a few cherries complete the extremely balanced taste experience. For a "only" 11 years old whisky made outstanding!
    • Finish
Very long, the smoke-characteristic smoke on the part of Laphroaig comes back to advantage. The finish is slightly drier overall, the seasoning of oak barrels gradually takes over the upper hand. A slight bitterness passes the malt after many minutes.

Wow nice Laphroaig peatiness with balanced sherry influence and very well watered down. It's powerfull, peaty with some medicinal touches and wonderfull notes of praline and chestnut puree coming from the olorosso casks. A tully well made whisky. Try to make more of stuff like this!

For his 11 years, he is already incredibly far. The 3-barrel maturation is very successful, the 48% are optimal. A dream, if there was one like the one in the standard range ...
    • Nose
Yes, it starts with the typical Laphroaig notes: medicinal, phenolic peat smoke, seaweed & seaweed, sea salt, tar. But there's also a potpourri of spices like black pepper, thyme, cloves and mint. Do the spices come from the multiple Fassreifung? It's a dollop of heather honey.
    • Taste
A wonderful sweetness of overripe pears and red apples is spreading. The fruit sweetener sails on an elegant smoky note, into which has mixed some fried bacon. The 3-barrel maturation ensures a beautiful oak impact, which covers the tongue with herbal teas. Also on the tongue are the cloves and the pepper again. The taste of nori leaves, roasted over a peat fire. The phenolic smoke snakes through the palate, nicely envelops the fruit and is never intrusive.
    • Finish
The finish is medium long, smoky and with an emphasis on the beautiful oak notes.
