N: Big, old, oaky sherry nose with nuts, prune juice, marzipan and tobacco with a touch of peat. Not overly complex but very pleasing. Heavy sherry cask influence.

T: Old, dusky oaked sherry arrival. Fresh, sweet ’n’ sour development with a super thickening marmalade mouthfeel - yum. At the end of the bottle the development is clear - Spirit first with a quick switch to oak. Consistent switch.

F: Light, dry, sweet tobacco finish which at first glance dissipates all too quickly, but the cherry, oak tobacco stains deep into the palate as a souvenir to take home. At the end of the bottle - its the oily liquorice wood that impresses the most

C: Fabulous, old woody, sherried gold.

    Scores a B+

    Official blurb regarding this bottling:

‘We are proud to announce our collaboration with Speciality Drinks to bottle a very rare Glenallachie 34 year old limited edition, Speyside Single Malt.

Whisky from this distillery is rarely available to the public and 34 has the lion’s share of this cask. Quite a substantial amount of the liquid has been lost to the Angels of Scotland through evaporation over the 34 year aging process. To render this single malt even more special, 34 has asked the distinguished Tracey Emin RA (who also curates private room at 34 – The Emin Room) to be involved in the design of the bottle label’.
