T: Hmm - the wood and spirit seem to be at loggerheads. A jammy sweetness wins, the winner revealed after an assured and steady crescendo reaching a jammy peak before a massive drop off. Going back to that crescendo for a moment - it comes with aniseed, very fruity with candied fruits, a general freshness and clear varnish. Candied, waxy, oaky vanillas conclude.
F: back to the drop off and whats left? Vanilla cheese cake. So much vanilla - deep and rich varied vanillas, simple but welcomed.
C: Fairly light presentation and very enjoyable but frustratingly that cask didn’t contribute much for all those 41 years.
