Whisky Reviews for Bunnahabhain Darach Ùr
13 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.23 points
- All in all, I expected more of this whisky. He looks pretty much like the Bunnahabhain XII with some other accents. The higher alcohol percentage does add something to this whisky. But that I say "Hey, I have to have that" No, not that again.
Soft sweet aromas of sherry, fresh wood (cedar), herbs and nuts (pine kernels)
Sweet notes of sherry and honey, slightly salty, vanilla, spicy (cloves and pepper) and soft notes (walnuts?). Has a fresh mouthfeel.
Has a medium finish, with aromas of herbs and fruit. And has a spicy stimulation in the throat (pepper?)
Fruity (apricots, peaches, bananas), herbs, berries
Vanilla fudge, oaky, ginger
Long, dry, bittersweet, fruity
- Fruity aroma, roasted chestnuts, raisins, ripe orange, banana, vanilla and honey. Vanilla sweet taste, ginger, pepper, figs, raisins, green apples, walnuts, mint and malt. Medium long, fruity and spicy end.

Sweet aromas of candied peaches, apricots and ripe banana with spicy notes and background mature oak
Fresh, sweet aromas of vanilla, walnuts and citrus fruit with an intense flavor of oak complemented with hints of clove and pepper
A long and bitter sweet aftertaste with fruity notes
