This Scottish blend was a gift to me from a friend, and obviously you have to give every whisky a chance. Especially since it's a budget (blended) whisky, it could be surprising. Spoiler though: it may only be good when mixed with Coke, based on how affordable the alcohol is. My notes are as follows:
    • Nose
      40 40
The nose is very spirit driven, almost as if I am smelling a budget vodka from the supermarket. Other (if any) notes I am getting; weak green tea with lots of spoons of sugar, faint licorice, damp grass. I have to agree with rottendon's review too: rubber duck is very accurate. One of the weakest and strangest noses on a whisky I have experienced.
    • Taste
      45 45
Arrival is weak, the spirit side of the whisky is what comes through first again. Other notes are: damp wood, plastic, vague citrus notes, pure chocolate, weak (sugary) green tea. The taste isn't quite as bad as the nose (and finish).
    • Finish
      37 37
After 2 minutes, almost nothing remains of any of the notes named above, besides the tea, alcohol and sugar. It has that very budget-y, plastic, vodka aftertaste. And the lack of wood in this blend isn't strange when taking those notes into account.

Yes, I have to devalue it, too, I'm sorry, Ballantine's was better, marginal ...

    • Nose
Ui, Allohol, slightly sour, vanilla, thin nose, strange Fehlnote, reminiscent of rubber Duck.
    • Taste
Quite sprightly, but yes, he is drinkable. But he does not get 70, Ballantine's got me out of it, and I see that too. Well, he's boring, sugary sweet, slightly bitter, but I was really worried about worse.
-> after the keys: Phew, the nose is developing so cruel, which is now much worse: shock:
    • Finish
Sugar water in the finish, good that is so short, and so that stays that way, I listen to the warnings and let the water away!
