real shame. This is a whisky with a lot of potential. It’s got the old, mature
aromas, perfect balance and complexity, but it lacks everybit of power and
body. Could have been a stunner (in certain ways it still is), but the
subtleness makes it a forgettable dram.
recognizable ‘68 Bunnahabhain. Overripe bananas, wax, powdered sugar. Lots of
other tropical fruit in there as well. Somewhat malty and a bit dusty. Very
refined and subtle. An ‘old’ nose in every sense.
lovely ripe bananas and wax again. Beautiful flavours, but unfortunately the
mouthfeel is a bit thin. It’s watery even.
after the sip is swallowed the whisky revives. Nice old wooden flavours, dusty
and malty. Again very waxy. The finish is not that long, turns into water quite
