Once the UK's best-selling blend, but times are long gone & Diageo, owner of the brand, gives preference to other products. A great blend! With water very, very delicious, without water a dream! Must-buy!
Wow, that's what I call a nose !!! Fruits, most ripe and soft, in between a few immature, hard ones. A mixture of malt & spicy grain in the ratio 75:25, and everything tied up in delicate smoke. Water opens it up even more, making the fragrance somehow looser. Small fruit notes dance over oak boards, while light smoke beats the beat on a ripe pumpkin. At a table away from the music, a portion of powdery old cocoa powder watches the hustle and bustle.
Spicy and spicy on the tongue. A little tart sweetness plays with cinnamon-flavored oak chips. In the background, a cloud of smoke passes by. Surprisingly sweet with water. A handful of malt encloses a small lump of chocolate. Barley peels and a hint of cinnamon powder flutter through a cloud of smoke.
A thick layer of white powdery pepper and an idea of cinnamon cover everything and, in addition to a feeling of dryness, leave a furry impression in the mouth. If the Haig Blend has previously been mixed with water, spicy notes leave a slight prick on the tongue in the finish. It draws smoke, shreds and comes back yet. A cinnamon-like feeling of dryness proves the palate.
