    Enthusiasm: Nose and mouth: 3/5 Final: 2/5 Whisky n ° 1454
    • Nose
Very fresh, clean and clean. Vanilla, creamy, we have freshly cut apples. Everything is quite discreet. A little malt. And even an earthy note getting closer to the peat.
    • Taste
Austere malt, but rather fine, with vanilla. Simple.
    • Finish
Average in length. Some spices, but overall pretty poor and boring.

    Nice Clynelish. Not
the biggest, but far from bad. Yet I prefer Clynelish 1997.
    • Nose
      The nose is soft and
waxy on apples, sugar candy and a bit of grapefruit. Lemongrass and some earthy
notes appear after a few moments. And then it is all about pears. Celery
salt? Quite a bit of vanilla and a bit of pepper. The whole
      is very light, though.
    • Taste
      Despite a medium
body, it is quite oily. The sugar candy is gone. Or is it? The pears and
grapefruit return for sure, but it is the spiciness that turns this into a good
      Clynelish. Liquorice,
ginger, pepper, vanilla and honey. A salty edge appears. Nice.
    • Finish
      The finish is neither
short nor long, spicy on liquorice and ginger with some grapefruit zest at the
      death.

Nose iodine, dry apple. More rustic than the 14 year old OB tasted just before. Very nice nose, but aeration is unflattering. Mouth softer than the nose, on the apple and dry salt. Short finish , dry and woody, fruit peel .. Verdict: A nice entry to discover the world of independents.
