This takes time and water to get past its initial cigarette ash shock. After that the engine oil dominates taste and finish. Interesting, but not really my taste. I would guess a young Ardbeg if such a thing is possible. Failing that, I would then look to Kilchoman as the mystery Islay malt.
    • Nose
Peaty and phenolic, tarry, something vegetative but slightly rottening, giving way to nail varnish, young leather and light balsa wood. With water a  fruity note - green apples?- lightly appears.
    • Taste
Oily and peaty with a strong taste of cigarette ash up front which gives way to light engine oil and some tropical fruit - pineapple?
    • Finish
Long oily finish which becomes more complex and earthier than the first taste would suggest. Hints of plasticine.
