7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.58 points

  1. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

There is nothing wrong with this whisky, it would definitely be something for my whisky cupboard!
    • Nose
heavy and fruity, sweet dark fruits, caramel, also a spicy note, slightly peppery
    • Taste
Boah, sweet, grapey, fruity, a hint of smoke
    • Finish
the fruitiness persists for a long time, but becomes drier

  2. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

I find it difficult to classify the whisky. I would not call it a complex one, but he can do what he can. A lot of whisky is no longer felt.
I find such whisky from time to time quite funny, but in the long run a little too "unwhisky"
    • Nose
sweet and vinous, almost sticky sweet, dried fruit, plum wine, slightly sour, fruity, spices, some oak. Very sweet and dense.
    • Taste
spicy, vinous, a certain sour note is also here. Rosehip marmalade, wood extract, mild and dense.
    • Finish
sweet, vinous, sour oak, also dense and interwoven, but quite short.

  5. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

full-bodied, tasty, interesting, winter whisky, again a beautiful Glen Els
    • Nose
first impression: fairly closed, dry, pepper, wood, with some effort a little raisin, which needs water -> heavy, sweet, toffee, dried fruit, chocolate, a hint of dark, ripe berries, black cherries
    • Taste
dark, syrup-like, fruity-sweet, spicy (gingerbread spice), slightly sweetish smoke / crust of honey-roasted roast, grape nut chocolate, a touch of brandy, licorice
    • Finish
long, raisins, chocolate and again the sweet and bitter roast crust

  6. KayMeertens scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

Its profile reminds me a bit of the Säntis Dreifältigkeit, but then much more enjoyable.
    • Nose
Toffee, mocha, dark cherry, spices, raisin, pencil shavings, raisin, smoke, a little glue and a slight rustiness as in red beer.
    • Taste
Toffee, raisin, dark cherry, smoke, liquorice and spices. A dirty meaty touch from some sulphur in the cask, but in a good way.
    • Finish
Toffee, raisin, mocha, liquorice root and again that rusty touch.

  7. Kaltduscher scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Powerful. Fruity and spicy. Grapes. Currant. Rum raisins. Cocoa. Caramel. Vanilla. In the background citrus fruits. Honey.
    • Taste
Strong start. Grapes. Orange peel. Vanilla. Cocoa. Caramel. Spices. Smoked ham. Some oak.
    • Finish
Long and warm. Fruity. Raisins. Oak. Christmas spices. Chocolate. Espresso. Malt. Smoke.
