  1. Egge scored this whisky 81 points Expert Junior

    • Nose
      85 85
Sweet, red grapes, sour apples, cinnamon, sugar caramelized, subtle smoke
    • Taste
      84 84
      First malt! Very clear.

Very gentle in the mouth, caramel, sweet red wine, raisins even sweeter at the end, but also clearer smoke.
    • Finish
      75 75
Medium long, gentle and dry. The malt stays there, some oak is added, the sweetness disappears quickly.

For me, unfortunately, a rather weaker finish that does not meet my taste, therefore a lower overall rating.

  2. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Mjam, fat, sweet-smoky, yummy ... they can.
    • Nose
fruity (raisins, red grapes, ripe cherries), sweet (honey, burnt sugar), spicy (cinnamon, gingerbread)
    • Taste
full-bodied, sugary-sweet wood smoke, burnt sugar (slightly bitter), dried fruit, heavy-sweet red wine, dark berries, malt sweets
    • Finish
medium long, sweet, malt candy, a hint of burned sugar

  3. Kaltduscher scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Complex. Sweet. Malt. Raisins. Vanilla. Grapes. Currants. Raspberries. Cherries. Sour apples. Citrus fruits. Brown sugar. Subtle smoke.
    • Taste
Mild. Oily. Currants. Vanilla. Malt. Caramel. Raisins. Towards the end, getting sweeter with rising smoke.
    • Finish
Medium long and gentle. Grapes. Drying. Malt. Smoke. Roasted almonds. Oak.

  4. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

It's definitely fun! Glen Els inspires me more and more.
    • Nose
Fruity red wine notes, grapes, subtle smoke, spicy, vanilla, vanilla honey (I've tried by chance today and that comes out well). After the first sip, the spice in the nose becomes stronger.
    • Taste
sweet, maybe a touch of sulfur, but disappears quickly, slightly smoother than the Marsala, but still only a subtle leg, again vanilla, grapes and finally a certain red wine touch
    • Finish
Here, too, some oak comes to light, when the sweetness is gone, medium long, which is too short for the convincing smell and taste (positively meant)
