Is that a special bottling? Or "only" the Old No. 7 slightly less diluted with special label for collectors? No idea, I like it. I guess I have to go to Old No. 7 parallel in peace, I have never. If it is basically the same (except for the 3%), I can imagine it, even have a bottle. If not, the price for a limited edition is OK. Edit: I still have a rest Old No. 7 found and straight both in front of me - very similar, but already different. The Old No. 7 gets a bit more pungent and sharp in the nose, but also a bit sweeter. The master is bitter in the taste, more oak, in the mouth feeling softer, creamier (even with a few drops of water at the master).
    • Nose
sweet-spicy-tart, vanilla, burnt sugar, caramel, slightly bitter, molasses, beet syrup, oak
    • Taste
intense, bittersweet, toffee, maple or beet syrup, a slightly sweetish-smoky-bitter note (very different from the Scots), some pepper
    • Finish
      medium long, burnt-syrupy-sweet-smoky

On the nose, caramel, maple syrup, smoke from a lit fire, vanilla!
In the mouth, ... it's the JDn2 or n7, with maybe a little more sugar and smoke, then the orange makes its appearance, and strong spices.
In the finish, flat, monolithic on the same aromas.
A Tennessee, Tennessee loved or decried, but you have to taste before criticizing!
