    • Nose
Honey, gingerbread, cereals, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, brittle, nuts, roasted almonds, a few grasses, a little apple, the alcohol is clearly noticeable, a little menthol and mint, a little bit of earth, after a while there will be a few more fruits which I do not get identified now
    • Taste
Honey, apricot, physalis, these sour apple rings but without the sour, caramel, nuts, some chocolate, some coffee, some wood, pepper

The only point deduction is the smell. He does not promise as much as later.
Gingerbread and hazelnut aroma are noticeable. In addition comes dark fruit jelly and a trace of spices.

The taste is excellent. Crème brûlée and chocolate come first. Very creamy with a hint of brittle. So great.

Fruity and spicy with raisins and a little oak. Very long!!

OMG that paul john single barrel is really stunning and totally caught me off guard!!! It deserves every ounce of valley girl I can muster in that exclamation.

Nose: I love the nose on this. Its subtle and just lovely. If I didn’t know better I would have guessed a nuanced bourbon. Caramel, vanilla, graham cracker or maybe graham masala… touches of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg with a light hint of chocolate on the tail.

Mouth: oh shit that is spicy!!! like a rye and a bourbon had an illicit love child. And freaking crazy flavors. Cardamon. Pepper and chilly. Chocolate. So sweet and so tangy. Its got this earth dank taste. Basically they casked a world class mole.

The richness of the palate really shines after a quite disappointing nose.
    • Nose
Quite solventy to say the least, somewhat reminiscent of some Hibiki's perfumy notes but a bit juicier. Evident youth though, not a winner so far.
    • Taste
Much, much better. Huge exoticity, less so on Demerara sugar and oak chips than most young bourbon-driven CS offerings, but rather on round melons, with a great alcohol integration. Rich and yummy. Adorable.
    • Finish
Average length on the same perfumy, liqueurish notes.
