- Nice and fruity
Glenlossie with a great body. Ideal as an aperitif. Thanks for the sample,
Jürgen and Dominic. I have added the bottle to my collection.
The nose is fresh
with a twig of mint, orchard fruit (mostly pears) and gooseberries. Fairly
sweet. Sweetened malt, it seems. Floral touch. Add some
vanilla and a hint of citrus and you get a nice aperitif nose in my opinion.
Good mouth feel and
strength. While it is powerful, it does not need water. Yes, it is quite
punchy. Again apples and pears, sweet malt, gooseberries. Perfect continuation
of the nose. The citrus becomes mandarin and grapefruit. Midpalate the oak
becomes somewhat louder and the spices come to the fore. A pinch of chili,
ginger and mint.
In the finish – which
is medium long – the spices linger and become somewhat green, if you know what
