Youthful & zesty - yet complex
Cask No. 70.8
NOSE: Tequila-like! Dandelions. Soft caramel. Fudge & lychees. Some lime pudding, too, it then evolves into more typical grassy and floral notes. A good mix of fruity, herbal, and sweety notes.
PALATE: Very light and caramel-like, clasped tightly with the grassy notes. “Nose confirmed!” we announced. The sweetness all kicks around - green tea ice cream and ginger beer cracked a mention.
FINISH: It’s a short finish, but one that delivers a burst of gingerbread, dryness, and a dose of spirit. “Lively” was the word.
COMMENTS: A delightful, light, aperitif-style malt. Grassy and tasty, it isn’t particularly challenging or complex, but is very approachable, happily drinkable, and very easy drinking. Definitely a summer whisky. This is the first time this distillery has featured on an Australian Outturn.
