N: open and rich: the classic combination of a very marked barrel and a malt full of personality like that of Arran. The latter is beautiful buttery (just fresh butter) and does not conceal politely vegetable and biscuit notes. It is then added a remarkable creaminess, from cake and shortcrust pastry. Caramel and apple pie. You can also hear light whiffs of wood and pipe tobacco (as usual, do you have the apple peel in the snuffboxes to moisten the tobacco?). Hot orange tart. With water, the apple explodes, while in general it becomes hotter and 'crisp'. P: put the children to bed, this is a palate that does not take prisoners. It has an explosive intensity: we already imagined to tell a coherent and balanced palate, instead a thermonuclear conflict breaks out unexpectedly. In fact, a hail of clamorous tropical bombs is released: coconut, sweet pineapple and maracuja. Still many apples and caramel. Simple, if we want, but devastating. Botte first fill? Just remember some good bourbon ... Even on the palate, the water turns it into an apple juice, with a toffee pan melted inside. F: still fruity (apples and coconut) and persistently sweet. The Arran selected by Beija Flor exists to make everyone understand well, to everyone, the concept of single explosive cask, excessive in all, that does not live in nuances. Truly enjoyable. http://whiskyfacile.com/2015/02/18/arran-15-yo-1998-2014-ob-for-beija-flor-559/

    • Nose
Round and intense, the aromas are initially difficult to reveal. From a malted brandy, we gradually move to something sweet and creamy, rather rough fruits, are specified a little later. More and more deep notes, towards chocolate. What a beautiful evolution!
    • Taste
Touch delicate! Intense, round, fragrant, very fruity! Velvety texture.
    • Finish
      Final relatively short.
