- Color: dark orange / amber
Rich and full
Vanilla, wood, sultanas, chocolate and sherry. There is more to smell in this complex scent.
Fruit, sherry, smoke, vanilla, sultanas, chocolate and pepper.
What you taste you also taste in the finish.
Fruit, sherry, vanilla, sultanas, chocolate and pepper.
Fresh and spicy wood, pure chocolate, pencil shavings, glue, orange peel and anise.
Creamy bitter sweet, brown sugar, hints a bit to bourbon, Anise, tobacco sour note, little bit of karamel.
In the development, Drying tannins, a bit of fennel and a small peppery note.
Quite long, dry and more fresh wood.
- Very beautiful! More please.
Coconut, bourbon glue, cotton candy, wet wood, some mint, popcorn, creme brulee
Strong onset, straight oak tones but no bitterness, a bit peppery, the coconut is there, maybe a little orange
Rather restrained, but he holds himself, the oak tones and sweetness play nicely on the palate, slightly bitter in the end, but a nice spiciness dominates
- This is not what one would expect from Glendronach, more bourbon style than the normal sherried style. It's quit fruity and fresh for a cask strength whisky.
Citrus, fruitcake, vanilla, honey, oak, blackcurrant, tangerine and raisins
Fresh apples, lime, oranges, honey, hint of pepper and marsmallows
Medium, fresh fruit, cirtussy, oak
- Very surprising and buttery virgin oak that reminds a lot of a bourbon but also has typical GlenDronach tones. A clearly successful experiment!
The nose is very soft with notes of sweet oak spices, soft fruit like roasted apples, something of that sherry whisky in the form of sultanas, some sweet barley and in the background very light herbs.
