Boom says the dram and hits me in the nose almost with a bourbon wood like maturation that I really treasure with those PCs. But this one is a sherry refill, rather from a fino than anything darker.
It has a dunnage nose, wet hessian bung cloth, malty sweetness and a slight citrussy note - yeah, think Ardbeg here in good ol' times.
The hessian bung cloth comes through, with an apple and two slices of lemon, watering the sides of the tongue as the peat and smoke batter the rest of the mouth. Actually, quite a pleasant assault.
Quite long and warming. Replicates all of the above with a pronounciation on damp hessian cloth.
