    the elder edition
Room temperature when drinking: 17 ℃

The base wine is said to have used Highland Knights, Grand Ruth and McAllen's three factories.

    Viewing Eyes: Ochre color

Smell Nose: Caramel, cocoa powder, Dove brownies, roasted nuts (amber walnuts, ground peanuts, peanut butter), dried raspberries (raspberries, blueberries), floral nectar (cramberry). The smell is mainly centered on nuts, and the two basic points are preserved berries and cocoa powder.

Taste Palate: the front part is sweet and sour with fresh berries, the middle part shows floral fragrance, the back end is tea leaves, very obvious Zhengshan race and black tea. At the end of the season, fermented tea is the main tone, with black cleverness and nuts leading to wood, which is toasted oak and earth, decorated with subtropical fruits. The primary and secondary are distinct, and together they build a rich and rich atmosphere. In the mouth is a standard three-stage expansion, orderly from lively to calm, the connection is smooth and natural.

Finishing Finish: Long and rich, black tea snacks, shredded tobacco, orange jam, floral, black

Body: Medium, thick, no tannins, slightly bitter

    Nose: 86/100

    Palate: 88/100

    Finish: 88/100

    Body: 86/100

    Overall: 88/100

Overall: The main line of smelling fragrance is nuts (mainly peanuts) + fine black craftsmanship, and the entrance is astringent and fragrant tea fragrance. Mature and stable but not old-fashioned, this wine can reflect the profound skills and good intentions of the bartender.

Keywords: black tea; Zhengshan race; nuts; Heiqiao

Thanks again pls, let me drink such a special wine!

    Colour: dark amber.
Nose: sweet, chocolate, dried fruits, raisin, leather, light sourness, fudge, christmas cake, new varnished furniture, berries.
Mouth: sweet, dried fruits, raisin, oak, spices and chocolate.
Finish: long with spices, raisin, dried fruits, vanilla, pepper, chocolate and cherry notes.
The Famous Grouse 18YO is a very good balanced and tasty whisky.

  3. The Macallan scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

A rich and stunning dram, although with a lot of sherry in it, it's very good. It almost tastes as a Macallan, Glenrothes and Tamdhu.
    • Nose
A rich burst of sherry notes - Macallan is dominating here - rich in chocolate/toffee notes, lots of dried fruit, some 'old' citrus fruits, but all together not very heavy on the nose and that leaves you some flowery notes aswell.
    • Taste
Sweet fruits, dry sherry notes, wonderfull flavors with a nice reflection of some Macallan notes.
    • Finish
Long and nice glowing with a fruity spicyness.

This is delightful scotch. Its not challenging yet very pleasing dram.
    Excellently composed.

My bottles are from pre 2007 era when they stop producing it and not the ones for Taiwanese market available to buy today.
    • Nose
The nose is very nice, full and becomes rich after 20 min in glass.

Its balanced with rich Christmas cake richness and nice oak notes.

Chocolate, dry fruits, preserved fruits, sweet shop, orange and lemon peel, candied fruits, hint of peat in background, hazelnuts, stewed cherries, vanilla custard, cakes and spices from oak
    • Taste
The palate is lovely rich , complex and tasty experience, no off notes whatsoever. Fruity and round and changing palate, its rewarding experience, dry fruits and compotes of fruits, chocolate sauce, traditional confectionery sweets,  vanilla ice cream, hints of cardamon, then peaty side pops out with touch of metallic note ( very pleasant in this context ), it goes on and on
    • Finish
Long concentrated finish, with lush fruits , then oak spices and oak smoke, peat hint and chocolate, followed by oak spice at the end

Overall, this is a heavily sherried gem in a range that doesn't always stand out. It definitely benefits from a bit of time in the glass. I've definitely noticed that as the bottle has gone down over the past few weeks, the harsher aspects of the citrus and spice notes have mellowed and the whisky is generally more balanced. As a final note, in my experience, as much as you gain from adding water with the nose you lose on the palate.
    • Nose
Preserved and dried red and dark fruits (black cherries, dates, red guava, blackberries, plums), orange marmalade with peels, sugared dried pineapple, a bit of clove and nutmeg dusted honey, toasted mellow oak, malt and dried leaf litter
    • Taste
Mellow oak and dried leaves, sherry-sweet smokey wood, a wave of dried fruits and baking spices (clove, cinnamon, and coriander)
    • Finish
Candied orange peels and lemon grass, smoked dried orange peel, and cocoa powder

surely one of the most beautiful (standard) blends I have bought in recent years. price-quality ratio is certainly fine.

    Nose:-
One of the most complex and pleasing around. Artfully married of two
best single malts. Delicious caramel catch your attention with lush of
dried fruits fragrance. Underlay with lightly sour note and fresh plum,
tinge of vanilla essence to cap it off. Palate:- Obvious coastal and mineral notes, lightly sweet dark fruits.
Delicious and soothing mouthfeel, hold the liquid to enjoy the flavors
packed sensations. Distant earthiness lingers. Cant find flaws on this
one, very balance and well rounded, a class of her own.

Finish:- Touch of cocoa unleash at the end. As expected, round and very
smooth. Full body, bold and warming. Long and covering the extra miles,
    persistent and echoing.

A shame that this expression has been
discontinue. Easily one of the best blended malt I had tried. Liquid
    gold in a humble bottling.

For the starting price of about 40 € I can recommend him. For the current price of about 60 € (in Germany) there are better drops for this price.
    • Nose
Vanilla, dried fruits, dark fruit compote, nutty, caramel
    • Taste
Fruit, light spiciness, slightly nutty, subtle vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, oak
