Great value back in the day when it was only $70cnd.

Nose

Nose: A good sherry note, gradually in sweet vanilla, dark chocolate, ripe fruit.
Taste: I love these oily creamy properties on the 20 year old Whisky, I always
look forward to it :-) Malts and oranges are in the front, also a woody
taste makes itself felt and a part of soft spices.

A long finish, again spicy with gentle bitterness. Very nice Glenrothes, very pleasant to drink with the typical
Glenrothes taste, it fits well to After Dinner, as I find a classic
winter dram.

A little less citrus fruits and less vanilla than usual for Glenrothes but more dried fruits and oaky notes - really good!

Nose

Rich, complex, sherry note, fruity, citrusy, raisins, little toffee, ripe fruits

Taste

Oily, creamy, smooth, malty, cooked oranges, woody

Finish

Medium long, rather dry finish

Well balanced - a bit of oak wood, a bit of sherry, a bit fruity but rather dry. Just a solid Glenrothes.

The nose is rich and warm. Crisp, toasted cereal notes with juicy

barley sweetness. A touch of melted butter with juicy mixed peels and raisins

with a hint of salinity. The palate is full and unctuous. Notes of barley sugar

and malt extract with vanilla spice and the most chewy of toasted sumptuous oak.

A hint of toffee sweetness with fudge. The finish is warm with dry oak.

A beautifully aged spicy dram.

Nose

There's a real sense of age on this at first nosing, but then it settles, bringing cocoa, vanilla, dusty oak and faint vinegar.

Taste

More oak and cocoa with gradual arrival of soft spices.

Finish

The spice is overt now, tingling and delicious with yet more cocoa at the end.

What I like about this 20 year old in my book, to some and may be 19 years and some months, this is because there is no specific Bottling date to determine actual age of whisky in cask. However it is very balanced very smooth, love the sherry and citrus followed by a fantastic finish.

Nice indeed!

Nose

Sweet. Cereal grains. Raisins, then citrus. Biscuits. Wet matches.

Taste

Malty and sweet. Vanilla. Werther's Originals. Cocoa. Dried fruits. Some sulpher comes late.

Finish

Medium and drying. Fruit, then oak.

Very nice glenrothes, very enjoyable like most of the glenrothes range

Nose

rich and sweet vanilla, evolving in coffeetones and chocolate, well balanced dryness in time

Taste

rich on toffee, overripe raisins, a bit musty, complex with honey and spicy notes

Finish

long, spicy, some bitterness (tannine) satisfying long finish
