It’s fine but nothing exciting. Dominant notes of vanilla, white pepper, caramel, orange rind, and grist.

I'm insecure ... Good pages and less good pages. Overall, I would give it to 69.
    • Nose
Complex in the nose. Light fruits, vinous aromas, vanilla, spicy alcohol.
    • Taste
Again, an alcoholic sharpness. Full and sweet, little. Lemons, oranges, limes, tangerines, all the acidic fruits.
    • Finish
Really long and the little touch remains. I really like the finish!

  4. Calmar scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Beautiful, light, refreshing soternovy finish, excellent balance, saturation and depth, a good combination of the basis and finish - with the wealth and many soternovyh components they do not oppress the basis, rather enrich and emphasize it.
    • Nose
Soft, warm, wild flowers, honey, wine notes, sweet sliced fruit - peaches, pears, tangerines, lemon, mango, melon, papaya; dry mineral tones.
    • Taste
Spicy oak on a sweet wine background, plenty of fruit, cream, sweet cakes.
    • Finish
Delicate spicy oak, orange peel, tangerines, lemonade, light bitterness, long and refreshing

[November, 2010]  I had this during a community tasting near Bonn.In
my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50
    - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 87,5.  My
notes state a dessert winey profile that is very quaffable and most probably to everybody's liking...

Very gentle and sweet on the nose, but kind of punchy on the tongue. An interesting play of fruits and spicyness.

    Concerning price/performance ratio: 8/10 (2015)
    • Nose
Fruits, honey, marshmallows, vanilla, citrus fruits, grapes, sultanins, sweet spicyness, hints of pineapple and coconut.
    • Taste
Sweet fruits, candy, coconut, pepper, vanilla, ginger.
    • Finish
Short to medium. Dry with sweet oak.

  12. Rom did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Peach nose, apricot, brown sugar. Attack well dusty, powerful medium with notes of yellow fruits and a woody presence. Alcohol is moderately integrated. Some spices and a little pepper in a rather short finish. Bad.

  13. Wtrstrnghlt scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

You can feel the alcohol in the nose. White wine, banana.
Nice and warm. Later some nice vanilla.
    Sticks to the glass.

    Sharp, spicy arrival. Sweet oak.

    Warm oak finish

  16. Ivynor scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Well, even if it's not the whisky of the century. A kind of little dessert without too much complexity.
    • Nose
Wood, fresh cake, buttered biscuit, vanilla, ripe banana. It is rather greedy in first approach. But a little discreet.
    • Taste
The first impression is that of a sugar-wood duo with a shallow texture and a bitter tip. Then come some notes of honey, again these flavors pastry (butter cake), mirabelle plum, fig, queens claudes. Pretty good.
    • Finish
Medium, almost too sweet, on the wood, the vanilla cream, always these pastry notes.

  17. Lucas Falchero scored this whisky 80 points Member Senior

Not very complex. A little lively.
    • Nose
Yellow fruits: peach, apricot. White wine. Nougatine. A little alcoholic.
    • Taste
Alcoholic, a little dissociated. Less interesting than the nose. A bit fat. Green wood. Bitter. Piquant. A hint of cinnamon.
    • Finish
      Fairly short: 4s. Bitterness. Pepper.

  18. Jonkers scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

A very delicious whisky for an apéritif.
    • Nose
Vanilla and oak. Pineapple, banana, chocolate. A bit buttery but also spicy and a hint of seaweed.
    • Taste
Soft and sweet. Also spicy and some salt. Very pleasant peppery and sweet from the vanilla. Hints of pineapple.
    • Finish
      Warm, longlasting and sweet.

  19. Abydoss scored this whisky 81 points Member Senior

    • Nose

Unverduennt leicht sprittig, dennoch insgesamt sehr weich.
    • Taste
Intensiv und würzig (mit einer leichten Ingwerschärfe).Intensiv malzig, nach der Nase ein überraschend kräftiger Antritt.

Hintergründig nussige Noten, weich, wie von Mandeln.
    • Finish
Eher trocken, mittellang. Malzig und auch hier die weiche Mandelnote. Dazu eine leichte Eichenbitterkeit.

    A whisky

with a dry-sweet balance. This whisky won the World Whiskies Awards Scottish

    2008. Both

Gaelic and French for gold, "Or" is so named because of its rich color

    Glenmorangie Nectar

    D`Or develops during the extra

maturation in the finest Sauternes wine casks from France.Colour: Honey gold Nose: Fragrant aromas of spices, coconut and lime

Taste: Deep, warm taste with honey and nutmeg.

    Sweet

    finish with white chocolate

  22. granella2003 scored this whisky 79 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Lime and orange, sultanas and dates give the whisky a rich fruity flavor with attractive hints of spices and coconut
    • Taste
Ginger, nutmeg and toasted almonds give a deep and warm character. A syrupy texture with hints of lime, lemon and sweet honey
    • Finish
Sweet aftertaste of lemon, white chocolate, vanilla and hints of ginger and nutmeg

  23. drkrylov scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

"Great to see French casks that actually complement a whisky - so rare! An exercise in outrageously good sweet-dry balancing"

Another great Glenmorangie expression. Big stuff as always from them. They might be very commercial now, but they still deliver excellent whisky.
    • Nose
Malt and spice. Cinnamon and vanilla. Warming. Very prickly on the nose, some flowers and maybe fruit, apricots perhaps.
    • Taste
Vanilla again and some honey now, great mix of spice and sweet. A bitter edge, and big malt. Warming again, and a bit like burnt honey or dark caramel. White chocolate and light fruit, oak now as well, I guess that's the slight bitter note.
    • Finish
Between medium and long. Malt again, a bit of a metal note, very distinctive to this brand. Vanilla sweetness with floral and fruity notes, great spice and still some honey here.

  25. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 70 points Connoisseur

Nose: floral, pears, soft and some coconut

Taste: creamy, mint, honey but way

    to match perfume

    Finish: apricot(marmalade) and marshmallow

Not my kind of whisky due to the

    perfume

    • Nose
      Honey, vanilla and pineapple.
    • Taste
A soft and pleasant sweetness. Honey.
    • Finish
      Medium. Sweet and dry.

  29. markjedi1 scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

This is an awesome Glenmorangie, even better than the
Sonnalta PX which was already very good. As it suits a Sauternes, this should
    be had after dinner.
    • Nose
The nose is rather floral and reveals a truckload of
      honey. Dried grass. Very
      fruity. A whole basket of
fruit, in no particular order: apricots, apples, lime, prunes, clementines and
even some kiwi. Turn that into a stew and sprinkle it with cinnamon. You will get this golden nectar. Soft and wonderful.
    • Taste
It rolls across the tastebuds in all its creaminess. Immediately a sour touch of the wine and a bitter
lining of the oak ensue, but never go over the top. All is well balanced. The sweetness dominates. Some more
citrus now. Mild spices, too. Ginger and cinnamon. Reminds me of cake with lemon curd.
    • Finish
The finish is medium in length on green tea and orange
      marmalade.

    Long and sweet.
    • Nose
Baked apples and peaches, caramelised fruit sugars.Barley sugar. Generous and very sweet. Some complexity.
    • Taste
Layers of oak, toffee. Mango with a waxy note then in comes green cardamom. Concentrated. The tongue tries to prise it all apart. Very sweet.
    • Finish
      Spices save it becoming flabby.

  33. Willie JJ scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Very sweet, but if you have no issues with that, this is a great dram. Another cracker for the drinks cabinet.
    • Nose
Very sweet. The malt is there, but it is enveloped in soft white
fruits, again dusted with icing sugar. Is that Glenmo, or is it just me
      tonight?
    • Taste
great interplay between the malt, vanilla and some sweet and sourish fruits.
    • Finish
Long, gentle and mouth-watering. Like sucking some kind of alcaholic barley sugar. Just brilliant.

  34. Feusi scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Very smooth and well balanced, i good mixture of sweet notes with the power of 46v%. Vanilla, honey and citrus notes are bringing a refreshing feeling. A pleasant rather long finish. Some reviews tells about to pour water or even ice in it, and you will not believe it, it works, but please try it by yourself.

  35. I_SPEY scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

The nose is briny, winy and fruity and the nose is, hm, nice, very nice and creamy; even oilyish and lovely smooth and again..fruity. Very nice indeed. With a few drops of water becomes even better, much better!
The finish is (rather) long, sweet and creamy again. Good stuff! Very drinkable and would buy this whisky again!

  36. tomy63 scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

cool, pleasant, a little too sharp in attack, no great complexity
    • Nose
sauternes, fresh, peach, apricot, white grapes, pineapple
    • Taste
farm, spices, malt, yellow fruits (toffee, cinnamon). less complex than the nose
    • Finish
      lemon, exotic fruits, honey, barley

  37. CrilleVBG scored this whisky 80 points Expert Senior

Another whisky with a wood finish, now Sauternes wine finish. Taste too much wood for my taste..
    • Nose
Strong, from the alcohol. Sweet, hint of wine..
    • Taste
      Oak, oak, oak and cocoa.
    • Finish
Short and tasteless, with a spicy end.
