- On the nose, peat quite strong, a little spice and cherry fruit a little macerated!
In the mouth, the peat leaves room for intense smoke, the spices still sweet, the fruits always in the same vein!
In the final, we have a return of peat, wood, spices, and the undifferentiated fruits for me draw on macerated!
What to say, very good discovery at very small price!
If it was not the problem of loose fruit, I went on a single !!
peat very fine, sweet, fruit on citrus, some wood, spices quite pronounced, otherwise the scents are lost in the mouth quite quickly.
- fine dram, there is a lot of Islay, lot of smoke, peat, salt, with more than 40 ABV this would really be great stuff. Price is sensational. we had this Whisky on a Whisky tour in Scotland!
- Without a doubt the best price/quality ratio to be found.
- A very smooth and dangerousely easy drinkable whisky.
Very soft sweet peat, a little salty seashore, some blackcurrant and citrusy fruit. A bit simple but gentle and nice nose.
The peat is barely noticable, it's more of pure smoke. Initially feels a tad bit dry and bitter but rapidly turns sweet with black berries, coffee and mild spices.
The finish brings back some of the dryness along with a little peat, and the spice is growing and last surprisingly long.
