  2. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Simply cool, great sherry barrel, probably. not a usual but my taste meets it.
    • Nose
Very sweet-sweet sherry tannins, brown caramel, dates in bulk, figs, berries, fresh leather, then becomes drier
    • Taste
First mocha with lots of berry fruit, some leather, then more and more ginger bread, chocolates, chocolate, Christmas spices, brandy, blackberry liqueur
    • Finish
Long, great Sherrynoten stay behind, berries, figs, mocha

  3. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Like, 75 € for UA / SC / CS / Sherry ... you can do that. The goes rather in the direction of interesting as wet-Sherryfass-brätschsüß.
    • Nose
Fairly mild, nothing bites, first fresh, sour, more vinegar than wine, then drier, dustier, just a little sweetness, a touch of wine gums, and there is still some musty, so several days old coffee filter with a touch of mushroom. Reads up a little whimsical, but actually smells quite good.
    • Taste
it starts immediately with Ricola and cough drops (something usually comes in the direction of the finish), clear sherry, chocolate truffle, a lot of pepper and something fruity, between dry red wine and blackberry juice ... intense in flavor, but feels a bit "thinner" than 49% at.
    • Finish
the blackberry wine (gummi) note and cough syrup are still there for a short while, pepper and a slight bitterness stay longer

  4. Koalafant scored this whisky 65 points Expert Senior

On the palate, clearly better than in the nose, but still (for my taste) with significant weaknesses. 65/100
    • Nose
First, a sourish wine note penetrates my nose. Then it is slightly pungent and it comes to moderate leather notes
    • Taste
Not definable and strange ... but quite interesting
    • Finish
      Long and burning

  5. didi1893 scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

For me no sherry monster, but very intense sherry and fruit. The nose is really great and the taste is delicious. Ben Nevis is my thing.
    • Nose
The first nosing flows fruity sherry in my nose. Raisins, dates and dark fruits mix with fruity sherry. A touch of chocolate and coffee mixes with the slightly nose-biting alcohol. The voluminous fruit becomes more and more intense.
    • Taste
Nearly 50%, so a few drops of water. Voluminous sherry. Fine fruit and a slightly bitter woody aroma follow the sherry. Again, this subtle Moder, slight bizzeling on the palate. Subtle spiciness, a hint of pepper mixes with espresso and chocolate. Another fruity sherry.
    • Finish
Very intense and fruity at first. Medium long and subtly bitter. Very slowly the fruit follows a fine slightly bitter nuttiness.

Very nice sherried Ben Nevis, my favourite so far.
    Water works well.
    • Nose
Alcohol @ 49,5% well integrated but it needs some time and air to reward with a nice and complex sherry nose with lots of toffee and toasted oak.
    • Taste
      Coffee, dark chocolate, gingernut biscuits.
    • Finish
Medium long, toasted almonds and dry sherry oak.
