Glenfiddich 12 y.o. is a typical, sweet and delicate speysider. A light vegetable whisky that is perfect for starting your adventure with malts.
    • Nose
Fresh, fruity, pears, honey, citrus, oak
    • Taste
Sweet, fruity, apples, pears, spices, oak
    • Finish
Apple, citrus, sweet with bitter, oak and moderately long finish, slightly peppery.

Doesn't hurt anyone, but it's not spectacular or challenging in any way either. This distillery can do so much more and unfortunately presents itself with its entry-level bottling as rather underclass. However, this does not deter newcomers and, as the market shows, it seems to be a good course. OK, but nothing more.
    • Nose
Clear pear, toasted oak, a hint of vanilla, solid barley, in the background a lemon is peeled
    • Taste
A little pear, decently malty, a little brown sugar, shortbread with vanilla, the grapes can be guessed, the grape seeds are clearly recognizable, slightly watery body, the rather expressionless oak shows up, everything is kept very covered
    • Finish
Rather short, unspectacular and slightly dry, again a hint of vanilla, fairly conservative oak, minimal cocoa, mineral brown sugar, then you bite into a slightly bitter hazelnut

The Glenfiddich Distillery is located north of Dufftown, on the banks of the River Fiddich. The name Glenfiddich means "valley of the deer". The distillery was founded by William Grant in 1887 and became a true family business. The fifth generation of Grant now controls the firm of William Grant & Sons Ltd. In 1963 the Glenfiddich single malt was launched. Glenfiddich's house style is, young whiskys are drying, fruity and delicious as an aperitif and older malts are more mature, with chocolate and fruit aromas and more after dinner malts.
    the color is golden
    • Nose
In the nose, the whisky is fresh, fruit and cut grass.
    • Taste
The taste contains fruit, drying with a trace of peat and aroma of malted barley.
    • Finish
The whole is rounded off by a long but pleasantly soft aftertaste.

    Fine decent whisky

Not too complicated. Just a default with fruity notes.
    • Nose
New wood, fruit (When read, its Pear that comes out strong) and vanilla.
    • Taste
Super easy. Not a burn, very subtile. Chocolate
    • Finish
      Fruity, woody.

For a long time I didn't know what bothered me about Glenfiddich 12. Actually very pleasing, but in the finish a malty mustiness spreads, which I find unpleasant. It's okay with me if I'm offered it, but nothing more.
    • Nose
      Very floral, fruity, malty
    • Taste
      Pepper, alcoholic, spicy
    • Finish

Glenfiddich's 12 Year Old is arguably one of Scotland's best-known and best-selling malts. In the age of NAS malts, it is almost "old" in age and is still very inexpensive. This makes it very popular with beginners. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., it is also very mild and easy to enjoy. For my taste, however, it should have been a few % vol. more. For advanced users it might almost be a bit too boring.

    • Nose
Very soft, mild and uncomplicated. I find typical Bourbon aromas like malt/cereals, green apples, pears, honey and caramel. The aroma also reminds me of apricot jam, oranges and cotton candy. Soft, spicy notes from the barrels hide in the background. After the first try, these notes become a bit more present, the sweetness goes back a bit in my opinion. The association of fine roasted aromas and cappuccino arises. The fruits and other Bourbon aromas remain the measure of all things.
    • Taste
On the tongue, too, it initially starts out fruity. The sweetness recedes slightly. The fruits are clearly in the foreground. I can find the pears again, the green apples, and a mix of different citrus fruits. The 40% alcohol by volume makes the mouthfeel very soft and pleasing. Even before swallowing, it gets a little drier. The oak comes through, as well as the roasted aromas already known from the nose and the cappuccino.
    • Finish
The finish is medium-long with a slight bitterness and a hint of coffee.

Average whisky, not too good, but not too weak either. Many of us started their adventure with Single Malt from this position. In my opinion, it is very prudent to just start with it. It is a typical drink that will not discourage you, but you cannot find anything more than the standard in it.
I recommend living with a Scottish drink for beginners.

Fruity, sweet apples on the nose, but a bit reserved. Watery in the mouth and a mild and boring finish with a little fruit and acidity. Overall disappointing.
    Length: 4/10

Edit after half the bottle and with a fresh palate: very sweet, the apple runs like a red thread from nose to finish. It remains relatively mild, but I like it better today than I remember it.

    Grade: 3- => 3 (56 => 63)

Glenfiddich 12 is the go-to recommendation for every "beginner" on their malt journey because of its wide availability and the fundamental and easy flavours it offers.

The nose is full of fresh fruits: Apple-pear yogurt, vanilla, toffee, and slight milk chocolate. A similar gentle and balanced profile continues in the mouth with a hint of oak. The finish is almost non-existent. Empty glass smells like creamy apple pie dessert.

Manages to bring fruit to the glass, but is somewhat one-dimensional in its delivery. 78 points.

  33. Whisky Hamster scored this whisky 80 points Expert Senior

Must say I am pleasantly surprised by this classic, inexpensive bottling of Glenfiddich, BUT it needed a few months open with lots of air to become better and better. Initially it did not convince me, more a 76 p. like many have given. The gain of quality over time came as a big surprise as it's bottled at 40% abv. but it happened, could be repeated another day and with a critical friend, too. Thumps up for this one.

  34. Highlander65 scored this whisky 70 points Expert Senior

Not bad all in all, a whisky that does not seek to please at all costs, but follows its philosophy. Strangely, at first I feel pervaded by very captivating scents, but then everything becomes more anonymous. Same goes for the taste. The first impression would be 80 points, even more, but then everything drops. The next day the glass no longer smacks of anything.
    • Nose
Very fruity, peaches, apples, apple juice, wild flowers, dried flowers, bread crust, marzipan, icing sugar, no alcohol
    • Taste
Discreet body, fresh, balsamic flavor, tropical fruit (mango), slightly sweet, sponge cake soaked in liqueur, vanilla, no alcohol. I thought sweeter.

      Medium-lasting, unripe fruit

A really nice ‘beginner’s’ dram which does not deserve the hate it sometimes gets. This is the stuff you either pour a friend who’s new to scotch (or whisky in general), or to start a flight with. I would love to see this at a higher ABV without the chill filtration.
    • Nose
      82 82
Mostly fruit, pear and banana are the most present, together with a sickly sweet honey, then red apples and mango. There is a slight oatmeal-esque note and once in a while a very noticeable hint of cinnamon.
    • Taste
      79 79
Alot more malty than the nose. In fact, the taste on this one is overall alot different to what the nose might suggest. Yellow fruit and a slight chilli. This is the weakest part of the dram for me.
    • Finish

Short and syrupy with little in the way of spicyness. Applejuice bananas, and white grapes, and the slightest hazelnut note. Quite tame, but nice nonetheless.

Being a solid benchmark Single Malt, this whisky is easily accessible to the beginner. Green apples and other fruits dominate on the nose, while Glenfiddich 12 tastes sweet, malty and quite harmonic. Its rather light character combines with hints of oak and slight bitterness in the finish. Unfortunately, there are some rough edges in the background of this spirit, presumably due to high demand for casks. After all, this whisky is one of the best-selling malts in the world. A warmly recommended Speysider that offers a practical introduction to malt whisky!

The Glenfiddich 12 is a mainstay in my collection. My go-to whisky for starting a flight, but also when I want to enjoy a whisky without too much effort. Nice malty, unfortunately, the alcohol is also a bit hot, a classic bourbon whisky, but rather young, say under 12 probably even under 10. The fruits are present but rather restrained. The slightly acidic finish is interesting, but the tannins are more distracting. The nose and mouth are alike, the finish drops slightly, but is still fine as soon as the tannins retreat

    Notes of a blind tasting
    • Nose
slightly roasted cereal, malty, slightly bitter, straw, oily and slightly alcoholic, but also pear and star fruit
    • Taste
the grain also here, malty, oily, slightly warming alcohol, vanilla, bright fruits, like the star fruit and a hint of apricot
    • Finish
Malt, slightly bitter, hints of light fruits, here slightly acidic and vanilla. Finally, clear tannins

A younger, lighter, uncomplicated malt, harmonious but simple, with rather yellow, light notes. An Everyday Dram! Unfortunately always underestimated.
    Blind tasting!
    • Nose
Muesli flakes, light alcohol, ripe, slightly sour plums, limescale, vanilla cream with caramel sauce, wood shavings, green twigs, first primarily sweet, then drier.
    • Taste
Plums, apricots, with a light alcohol sting, chilling, light oak, becoming drier out back, salivary flow sets in. Overall, light and bright flavors.
    • Finish
Medium length, wood that beats alcohol, gets drier on the tongue, light oak bitterness and white chocolate

The nose made me very optimistic. Due to their fruity and harmonious way, I was looking forward to the first sip. But what I felt after the first sip was pure disappointment. Extremely watery and expressionless! Apart from that, I only noticed the different wood tones, woody sharpness and walnuts in the taste and aftertaste. So either I got a bad day today or that malt was just nothing. I have saved myself a little sip, this malt is crying for a second chance. Unfortunately, today there are only 79 points ...
    • Nose
Blind tasting: Discreet smoke and a spicy fruit note rises from the glass. Nuts and slightly sour fruit flavors mingle, the alcohol content is harmoniously integrated and tickles slightly after a long nose slightly in the nose. The sour fruit flavors become more intense, dried berries and grapes come to the fore, and peach is added. Toasted aromas and a pinch of cocoa powder appear, the fruity notes are creamier and more velvety. Milk chocolate and a hint of spices mingle with ground walnuts. The cocoa or chocolate flavor is stronger and yet dominates the sour and spicy fruit note. Here and there I form a somewhat creamy and spicy wood. Are there tobacco or dried tobacco leaves emerging at the very end?
    • Taste
Cool, pale and extremely watery, the first sip flows over the tongue. Decent harsh and dark wood flavors follow the relatively expressionless and watered down first impression. A touch of spicy wood follows, slightly tart hints and a hint of dark fruit ... and then only once is calm ... nothing happens ... After a few moments, tart and dark wood elements rise, subtle wooden sharpness arises on the Tongue. From the dry and harsh wood tones rises dark and tart walnut aroma, grassy and wet foliage follows.
    • Finish
Tart and creamy wood elements rest on the tongue. The initial sharpness of the taste still sounds a little bit in the end. Otherwise, I perceive only subtle and slightly harsh wood tones, creamy and pale, the last flavors rest for a moment on the palate. An acid sweet spicy note is above the complete aftertaste. At the very end, a sweetish spice note mixes with some walnut.

The smell ignites an exciting interplay of fresh fruit notes and tart herb and wood notes, comparable to a bitter lemon. This impression continues in the mouth, I particularly like the association of Alsterwasser. In the finish, then the oak prevails against the fruit.
    blind tasting
    • Nose
Orange, lime, grapefruit, wood, earth, sage, thyme, a hint of caramel, some sherry in the background
    • Taste
Cool onset, a mixture of tart, sweet and sour notes, the shell of citrus fruits, light bitterness, lime, tart vanilla, a hint of chocolate, malt, Nordic beer, Alsterwasser
    • Finish
Spicy, slightly bitter wood, malt, becoming sweeter, sourdough bread, beer, medium-long

For me, a nice straight-lined malt that you can always drink. not very complex but for me one with the best PLV. Actually I always have a fake in the bar. For me too boring.
    • Nose
Fruit, cereals, wood, vanilla Directly slightly acidic fruits are in the nose, behind a strong malty note of the barley fields. he looks fresh without having an alcoholic tingling sensation, a certain youth is already noticeable. Everything is quite round and clearly structured. The fruits are a mixture of light grapes and mirabelle plums, plus something exotic that I can not name exactly but goes in the direction of melon / lychee. With a little bit of time, a little restrained seasoning comes on tap. After the first sip, a nice dash of vanilla is added
    • Taste
Cereals, hay, wood, fruit Here the cereal malty note predominates, perhaps a little hay, a little later the exotic fruit note mixes in between, the barrel wort comes through more clearly and brings a few tannins with which, however, quite pleasant to tie. Overall, he is no longer as fresh and youthful as the nose.
    • Finish
Wood, fruit quite short and slightly bitter, slightly astringent from the fruit, there is hardly anything left

  82. Noface83 scored this whisky 80 points Specialist

Nose: Beautiful malty sweetness and fresh cereals, dark aromatic (but not spicy) honey, vanilla, unripe plums and brown apples, tingling but not unpleasant alcohol already in the nose (a hint of vinegar). Honest and autumnal malt with clear profile
Taste: Slightly tingling onset, strong but not biting, a lot of dried cereal and hay, a lot of malty sweetness and caramel, some honey and vanilla, with apple pieces that were already a bit dried. Put that out of your nose without any frills - no surprises
finish: First NEN little alcohol sting and some pepper then comes immediately this malt and fruit sweetness (and juiciness), but at the back of a nice bitterness and unfortunately I also find something immature cereal brand (young and spritig - if only discreetly). Simple and straightforward finish that unfortunately can not have the whole character shown so far.
Conclusion: Great honest malt that fits wonderfully to a hearty snack. Quasi a Scottish country wine. Too bad that the finish can not go the high level but a thoroughly delicious malt. From me first really good 80 pts!

The difference nose / taste is quite interesting, but overall the whisky is rather tense, almost boring. On the tongue a short rearing of the flavors, then comes wood, come herbaceous herbs, the fruits fall into the background - no, we have not become friends. A blind tasting (comparability of tasting notes, fassstark.de)
    • Nose
      1. flower, fruit, honey, sweetness, vanilla, cereals, malt, wax, chocolate. The focus is on floral and fruity notes, soft and cooling. 2. A colorful bouquet of fresh cut flowers (roses, tulips, cloves), grapes, ripe apples, Capri sun in the standard flavor. Milk chocolate, almost white chocolate. Rape honey. The grain and malt notes can not be specified further. 3. A summer day. 4. The whisky comes out bright ("yellow") with a few dark speckles. Soft.
    • Taste
      1. flower, fruit, herbs, honey, sweetness, vanilla, cereals, malt, wax, chocolate, wood. 2. Even if the nose / taste flavors are the same except for the wood and herbs, it is "darker" on the tongue than in the nose. Now kräutrig, woody, a little bit bitter. Dark beer and bitter chocolate. Pine honey. A touch of beeswax. 3. (-) 4. On the tongue with a tendency to bitterness. In addition, quite dry and woody with quickly dwindling aromas.
    • Finish
      1. herbs, wood, wax, cereals 2. In the end there is not much left over as dry wood and a few bitter herbs. 3. (-) 4. Herb, dry

Glenfiddich 12 - smooth and easy drinkable!

Nose: Very light, I get fresh fruit - (mainly apples) and vanilla

Mouth: No liquor, very balanced. I sense the vanilla from before, but also a nice caramel touch.

Finish is semi-long, dry with a twist of oak.

In general, very very easy drinkable! I can see why someone recommended this as the first in a larger sample-package. But at the same time, not very complex - its easygoing and somewhat simple.

probably i have been spoiled a bit with alot of more high end whiskies, since it cannot thrill me like it used to be.

However the price quality is still quite good, and a nice starter when you want to drink a few different drams in a row.
    • Nose
predominantly sweet and fruity. Fresh green apples take the lead, together with some pears, honey, vanilla, some citrus.

The nose is a bit plain, not very complex, but solid and well bodied. Quite pleasant
    • Taste
compared to the nose the taste a bit dissappoining, rather plain, perhaps even bit boring since it does not add much to the nose

Once again green apples and pears, this accompanied with perhaps some fruitiness that comes with sherry finished whiskies, but rather faint. Vanilla and some wood is also present

Unfortunately, he has a relatively short, boring finish.

    • Nose

What more can be said about this single malt? It's an ideal "beginner's whisky" (in both ways: for the inexperienced newbies and for the more experienced and advanced drinkers to get the palate/evening started) , yet still very like-able as an easy dram. Fruity, with apples and pear in the nose, that continue in the arrival, accompanied by some oak touches, with just a hint of vanilla to add a bit of sweetness. The finish is rather short and, again, the oak comes forward. It tastes somewhat young overall, and the difference between this 12 year old and the much richer, more flavoury 15 year old is just striking, of course partly due to the longer sherry finishing in that one...

The classic. ME wrongly perverted. This is probably because he may have been the entry-level dram of many generations of whisky lovers, and the expectations with more intense (and often much more expensive) drams are simply increasing over time.
Still solid and exactly what makes a Speyside Dram.
    • Nose
Sweet with a lot of green apple, some malt, toffee, honey and oak in the background. The typical Glenfiddich nose, which sure every one of the beginner to the Malt Maniac has inhaled several times.
I like that nose every time.
    • Taste
The nose is essentially repeated. The oak turns into a slightly peppery note, the apples remain and the honey sauce repeats itself.

The nose is not very expressive and it is thin on the palate, it tastes like someone has put extra water in it already, basically it is weak.

    C: Amber.

N: definetely fresh and delicate. Fruity notes, citrus fruits: orange twist, mandarine, candied cedar and Williams pear, and finally there’s the wadding presence of candies and cotton candy.

P: Very soft, very sweet. Silky body. A dram that looks like a dessert, a thousand sweety notes: vanilla, egg cream, chocolate and sponge cake; pine nuts and a spicy of nutmeg in the deep.

F: In the end it demonstrate a little bit of lively with a soft spice, paprika, last notes of soft fruits.

Sweet and delicate, it results likable; the combination of american and european (ex sherry) barrels is great, a good sinergy between the different two sides. The bouble aging gives a complex discreet to the distillate.

The signature malt of Glenfiddich distillery. A light, clean and
fresh whisky with a delicate balance of luscious fruit (pear), lingering
vanilla and oak. A well-made and attractive all day dram.

I thank Markus Heinze (Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich in Germany) for the sample!

    • Nose
The nose starts off with a delightful green pear aroma. Very clean and
fresh with a certain maltiness and a whiff of smoke. With time, the pear
flavour increases with a touch of lingering vanilla's coming through. A
      lovely nose.
    • Taste
Fruity and sweet on the palate with a delicate vanilla note on the
tongue. Mature yellow pear complemented by delicate spice and a touch of
white pepper. Sweet and warming with spicy pine flavours.
    • Finish
Warming with quite a good length and lots of fruity sweetness. Smooth
and mellow. Becomes slightly drier in the end with a pleasant spicy and
woody tail. WITH WATER: There's more freshness and fruitiness on
the nose with pleasant vanilla. Sweet, fruity with a delicate touch of
blossom honey on the palate with significantly more oak spice and
pepper. The finish is medium long, warming with crisp and dry oak spice.

Overall, this was much better than I remembered, having sampled this years before writing this review.
    • Nose
Initially pear, green apple, and green grape. Fresh and zippy. There is a definitely maltiness and sugariness on the nose, as well as a hint of vanilla. After oxidization, these aromas mellow to stewed fruit, pear, sugar, and vanilla.
    • Taste
Light in the mouth. Sugars, pear, and green apple in disaggregated form. There is also some diluted vanilla under it all.
    • Finish
Long and drying, with sweet pear and apple, and then some pleasant bitterness.

I recommend drinking a bottle of this with friends on a party. I don't think it is suitable to keep for very long, as it rapidly deteriorates. In my humble opinion the chill-filltration rids this whisky of its balance. Except for the nose, the Glenfiddich 12 seems a combination of elements rather than a blend of it.

    Initial mark 78/100.
    Overall mark 68/100.
    • Nose
Here's where it very much agrees with me. Citrussy, grainy. Seems very fresh and young. Crips honey, instead of the mellowy kind in the likes of Dalwhinnie.

      * Halfway through the bottle I notice how all the favourable notes have diminished significantly. With only a quarter left all I smell is: whisky. The spirit. Probably the chill-filtration..
    • Taste
The taste is very oily which somehow just doesn't seem to connect with the rest of the whisky. More floral than fruity. Very cosmetic. It is definitely not bad, but I have tasted oily whiskies like..  Caol Ila, Bruichladdich and Arran which are examples of balance.

*Oxygen really spoils this whisky. Already halfway through the bottle harshness emerged and the whisky became spirit-driven, in a bad way. Had to water it down to get rid of the ugly sharpness, which had the side-effect of mellowing the whisky so much that it became utterly boring.
    • Finish
What remains is the oily texture. Sticks to my tongue and sort of covers my throat. After its gone down there is just.. a little oak.

Like many of my first malt. Found him deterring. I did not try other whiskys years later and stayed true to the hobby thanks to a colleague. Light, fresh fruit taste. A little like a non-ripe pear. Hardly any finish. Although only 40% you clearly taste the alcohol. There are better whiskys for the same money. Has just established itself in the supermarket as a quick gift. Meanwhile some supermarkets are upgrading (Ardbeg, Glenmorangie etc.)

Malty nose, turpentine, alcohol. Attack woody and pungent, a little sugar and vanilla delicate. Medium and powerful finish, slightly bitter. Correct.

Fruity whisky for beginners. Of courses there isn t any complexity in this one, but it certainly worth its price and that is an honest introduction to single malt.
    • Nose
Light but clean, all on green fruits, Granny Smith and ripe pears.

This was my first single malt and I have to say that I really did not care for it.

This was an ok whisky and where I live it is on the expensive side.
    $50.00 a bottle.

I do like the nose on this, very pear / apple like followed by some leather / earth and then kind of drops off.  Taste, a tad harsh / new and had a little burn going down. More of the leather, earth, not much smoke / peat which is what I like.

    Add a drop of
water and it helped bring out a little more favors. I can see though that if you add to much that you would drown the flavors out.

    I would not buy
this again unless I got it at a great price.

It was my first single malt
and I was not that impressed. I like more of a peat / smoke taste and
    this did not have it.

In contrast to almost all other whiskys from the distillery Glenfiddich, the 12yo is not (anymore) bottled in the company's own bottling plant in Dufftown. Therefore, on bottle and outer packaging, only "DISTILLED AND MATURED IN THE VALLEY OF THE DEER" (and not "DISTILLED, MATURED AND BOTTLED" as on other bottlings). However, Glenfiddich has the luxury, whenever a tanker full of 12yo leaves the distillery to send a second tanker filled with water from the in-house Robbie Dubh source, so that in the course of bottling no "foreign" water must be used.

A decent entry-level malt overall, but it suffers from (in my opinion) being bottled at 40% ABV. Younger Glenfiddichs do fall somewhat apart for me at this strength, which is a pity, as I am sure it would have tasted a lot better at 46% ABV. A bit malty, fruity, candy-like and with a little smoke. Fairly priced, although I prefer Glengoyne 10 over Glenfiddich 12 in this price segment.

Oddly bitter, awkward flavors. Some vanilla, sure, oak and malt, but before tasting anything else it's gone.

    A comfortable, widely known malt.

Glenfiddich 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky has matured for at least 12 years in American and Spanish oak casks. The quality of these casks is exceptional as all are individually tended by an experienced team of on-site coopers, ensuring the whisky develops complex, elegantly rounded flavors with notes of fresh pear and subtle oak.

This is a very basic malt, but let us not forget what an important place
this single malt has in history. After all, it was Glenfiddich that transformed
the industry and put single malts on the map. It is nice to return to earth
    once in a while.
    • Nose
The nose is very light, even delicate, on flowers and pears. Poire Williams. Sour, green apples and marzipan. Honey and apple juice. Very approachable and clearly an entry level
      malt. But very good.
    • Taste
It is creamy and fruity on the palate, with again the apples and pears,
      some nuts and mild spices.
    • Finish
The finish is medium in length, very sweet and fresh.

Mild taste of apples, slight oak influence, peaches. Pleasant but also a little boring.

The first single malt I've tasted.
    • Nose
Fresh and sweet. Very fruity with a soft fruit (almost pears and ripe apples) roundness to it. A creamy oakiness as well.
    • Taste
The fruit notes develop, with an white chocolate note.Reminicent of pears in cream. Light toasted nuts also.
    • Finish
      Very fragrant and drying.

I'm clearly not spending enough time exploring this dram. Hmmm
    • Nose
Light and fruity on the nose. Apples and pears. Slight toffee.
    • Taste
Much stronger toffee comes through on the palate.
    • Finish
      Excellent chewy finish.

No wonder, in Bar's so popular: cheap price, no surprises, a little complex. The bad oak diminishes the enjoyment of something.
    • Nose
hm, but it begins full-bodied and rounded, honey and heather, dried fruit
    • Taste
Flower meadow, dried fruit, pear; a little bitter by the not quite optimal barrels
    • Finish
Dried fruits and pear; rather short, then comes some alcohol, accompanied by suboptimal wood. Then cocoa curbs a little. Light hazelnut flavor remains in the palate.

    • Nose
Lightly flowery with hints of oak, hazelnuts,
apple, and cornflakes. Unfortunately, the nose is dominated by heavy spirit.
    • Taste
It starts with malted barley, hints of oak,
delicate flowers, possibly melon, hints of apple juice and spirit.
    • Finish
Rather short, poor and dominated by cheep
      spirit.

    Nice but not more
    • Nose
light and fresh, fruits (apple pear citrus) and vegetal notes
    • Taste
confirms the nose, the plant dominates slightly
    • Finish
      fresh, maltese and woody notes

This is good for drinking with friends on a nice summer night. Other than that, I prefer something else. Completely flat and unchallenging.

A good everyday whisky, a good introduction to the Glenfiddich range.
    • Nose
Typical of a young speyside on flowers, hay and some honey (for sweet sensation). It is also fruity (apple, pear, apricot). A little wood too. Varnish.
    • Taste
Briefly sweet, it quickly becomes more pungent. She confirms the nose.
    • Finish
      Pretty short.

It's had bad press but i quite liked it. Tastes nice and rounded to me.

    High quality standard bottling.
    • Nose
A fresh smell of cut grass and fresh fruit, pear drops, custard, apricot, vanilla and a big dollop of blancmange.
    • Taste
Malt with chocolate and toasted smokiness. Very floral and very smooth with pear, banana and custard.
    • Finish
Sweet as a nut and rounded with a fruity finish.
