Sweet fruits, clear smoke, fresh note. The alcohol despite cask strength rather restrained.
After a few minutes in the glass and lukewarm the beautiful fruit sweetness comes out even more clearly. Delicious!
Very sweet and fruity, but the alcohol gives the malt enough "steam" to keep it from being boring. The Bowmore-typical smoke here still reserved, too dominant the vanilla fruit sweeteners of the ex-Bourbon barrel. Here, the barrel was either still really powerful, or it was actually a first-fill Bourbon Cask.
In any case, the flavors here complement each other wonderfully, precisely because the gradually stronger tart smoky and oak notes are not too dominant.
Strong, here the alcohol pushes now clearly. The expected smoke, which comes along vigorously and reverberates for a long time. The fruit sweetness is also present for a short time, but then has to give up.
