- Similar to cask 44 but even slightly (say half a point I'd say) better in my opinion. 90/91.
Caramel sauce, grain cooky (dough), grapefruit, apple, malt, a little glue and a whiff of ehh... green beans?
Grain cooky, grapefruit, caramel, vanilla and a little peach.
Toffee, grain, grapefruit, apple and cocoa.
- Tasted it at the first Whiskybase Gathering in Rotterdam (26 November 2016), during a small Littlemill Masterclass organised there.
Nose: really smooth and delicate. Hints of earthiness, mushrooms, hay and some cardboard, together with all kinds of farm fruits.
Taste: some more soft cardboard and raw mushrooms, with fresh fruits.
Finish: wow, so damn tasty... mouthwatering.
Very smooth sweet delicate Littlemill
- Soft citrus start, fudge and bananas covered in caramel. Peach, blood oranges, cream. Grain biscuits, milk chocolate all well intergrated and elegant. One of the softer Littlemills, or better name it a velvet Littlemill.
- A whisky of great depth and full of surprises: a real entertainment! However, he is not very sexy and lacks spontaneity in the expression. We like or we do not like. 90 for fun, 86 for fun, so 88.
Complex and changing. It all starts with malted apple. Then comes a whiff of chlorophyll, a distant relent of hay, some wildflowers can be guessed (but really guess ...), and fresh fruit. But all this is really very discreet. A metallic side too. At aeration, it is more and more herbaceous, then becomes fruity and floral. A little vanilla, cotton candy. Here are the perfumes! Dior? Chanel? We do not finish: And always this grassy side very marked in the background.
Oily and fragrant mouth. Deep, unfolding, again, various facets: confectionery, almonds, icing sugar, flowers, white fruits, a little spice, bourbon vanilla.
The same thing that vanishes quickly enough.
