The nose is a hit, on the palate it falls off a bit. All in all, but a very tasty drop. Blindtasting. wlk 17-3
    • Nose
At the beginning very fruity (fresh oranges, ripe bananas, peaches), with vanilla and honey. In the background, however, is already a dark, woody note in the starting blocks. Spices over time ... pepper, nutmeg, cloves. Then there are dried orange peel, grilled pineapple, grated almonds and hazelnuts. Woody, as initially suspected, but then it is not.
    • Taste
Very strong start with blanched almonds, cocoa, milk chocolate, toffee, malt candy and orange peel. Vanilla resonates. Already at the beginning clear oak impact. Will dry quickly.
    • Finish
Medium-long and dry, with almonds, oranges and decaying vanilla.

my ranking: 1st mouth, 2nd nose, 3rd leg
    • Nose
      neat wet old wood
      slightly bumbled
      crumbly apples
      sun-warmed cereal
red icing, like a love apple
      nice nose
    • Taste
      mmh oily body
      very pleasant
on the palate a bit bitter but rather nutty
Honey, tender toffee, honeymet, a lot of nut
Nut chocolate with honey remains on the tongue
      spicy on the palate, peppery
      altogether a yellow whisky
    • Finish
the notes from the mouth fade slowly

  3. KayMeertens scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Apple, malt, yellow raisin, tangerine, honey and vanilla. Later more honey and vanilla. Water adds marzipan and apricot.
    • Taste
Honey, apple, peach, almond, pepper and caramel. Maltier when adding water.
    • Finish
Honey, almond, apple peel and peach.

    To the blind.
The glass is new, shaped like a tulip, with a wide base. From the wine distinguishes a very narrow neck. In my opinion - should be good for barrel.
Gave to stand. Long. 30 minutes
The aroma is very closed, so I added a drop of water.
Everything immediately began to play ...
A pleasant malt aroma ... Close your eyes and imagine a kitchen table, and on it, closest to your nose is a glass of wine - thin wine notes of fortified wine, next to a plate are dried sweet raisins and plums, pieces of dark chocolate, somewhere near they are worth an open can of pickles ...
Dried fruits prevail in the taste, wine sweetness and all this abundantly goes into spices and pepper ... the fortress is unbelievable ... I definitely made no mistake with the addition of water, although I almost never do it, except for comparison ...
The finish is of medium duration, except for the alcohol stroke, black pepper and viscosity, as from fortified wine ...
    Definitely not my favorite ...
He was unbalanced and, despite his age, spirituous and impudent ... I was very surprised by the bourbon exposure - I was sure that the wine finish ...

Malty, honey and fruits, some nuts, a bit grassy and peppery in the end. Really nice dram

In nosing and finish 90 points, but the tasting it hailed. Therefore only 86 pts from me.
    • Nose
In the nose a real fruit bomb. As if one smells at a Nimm2 candy.
    • Taste
Unfortunately, the taste can not quite hold that. Something too alcoholic and hot on the tongue
    • Finish
In the finish he plays his strengths again.
