- In Blindtasting I recognized the Sauternes Cask and the 46% alcohol. At the Distillery I had typed on Benriach.
- Note from blind tasting, my tip 43% - 48%, quite young, max. 8 years.
Whether finish or complete maturation in the wine barrel, I am uncertain.
Nose and finish are quite good, the palate lags behind. Distillery Speyside or Lowlands.
White wine, lemon, tangerine, pear, a little honey. Rather little complex and very straight. But alcohol is not intrusive and well integrated.
Mild, sweet, somehow a bit bland and watery. Definitively a young one. Taste of straw and some oak in the background.
Now it is still something! Straw and pear again, some honey. Good start and medium-long finish. Much less of the white wine and the fruitiness that gives the nose.
