This malt is a Bunnahabhain through and through, with the "maritime notes" (salt spray, herbs) dominate, the "typical sherry barrel flavors" (sherry, dark fruit) but remain absolutely in the background. In the finish dominate the oak flavors from the 26-year storage. A powerful malt for salt and herbal flavor lovers.
    • Nose
In this Bunnahabhain the herbal spice characterizes the first impression. It is followed by grapes and vanilla and a pleasant Mentholfrische. The whole thing is complemented by a delicate citrus note.
    • Taste
The start is neat, now the oak barrel, then the herbs and finally the light grapes. The cask strength of 50.9% is well integrated, but animates the scenery in the direction of "Bunna character".
    • Finish
This finish is strong, oak-accented and full of lightly salted herbs.

clearly recognizable as Bunna - I like it very much - with its rather spicy oak-flavor it's certainly not a malt for people who like it fruity.
    • Nose
Honey, heather, birch sap, anise, lemon crust with sugar crust, oily - rich - vanilla, butter, a little cinnamon, apple compote, rose water
    • Taste
Honey, birch sap, light oak, anise, jelly bananas, mint, icing sugar, astringent oak - creamy but dry - tannins, grassy, green bark, hints of coastal aromas, finely spicy
    • Finish
strong, tingling, lemony, a lot of creamy light oak, dry - medium to long
