Great nose, nice finish and a fantastic aftertaste. In fact, this malt has its small weaknesses more on the tongue, where simply the age for a certain maturity and complexity is missing. But what is offered here in / after the departure is first class.
    • Nose
Extremely powerful influence of rum barrel, much stronger than many other bottlings on the market, which I have tried. Wonderfully sweet and tropical-fruity, I'm running directly into the mouth water. In addition to the tropical fruits, I also find vanilla and some honey. The nose just not too deep into the glass, the more than 61% Vol. Then sting something. The longer the malt is allowed to breathe in the glass, the less fruity it appears, and then some oak will come through.
    • Taste
Strong onset, very oily - and then it is also really sweet. It must have been an extremely active rum barrel and a strong bourbon barrel that did a great job here. Next to it a strong dash of pepper, some oak. But here the missing complexity is noticeable.
    • Finish
Strong and spicy. Once the malt has disappeared from the tongue, an extreme rum note spreads in the throat, which otherwise I only know from corresponding sweets with these flavors. This is really amazing and I have rarely experienced it. A real experience.

Very fresh and punchy, fruity, not too dry - just these notes of old wood and leather couch - not to say like sweaty socks - anyhow it is drinkable
    • Nose
Fruity notes, citrus, oranges, caramel, hints of wood, whiffs of raisins and leather - not bad
    • Taste
Very punchy, oily, fruity, citrusy, good sweetness, hints of old wood, rubber or leather, spices, nutmeg, pepper - pretty OK
    • Finish
Long and burning, zesty, more old wood
