Whisky Reviews for Longmorn 1992 SV

4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.62 points

  1. Calmar scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Strongly knocked down and dense mole, sustained in a bourbon, apparently, a barrel; strong and assertive, not bad in flavor, but the taste is very primitive, the overabundance of oak also does not save the situation; probably will have to taste wood lovers, but for me it's very simple for 22 years.
    • Nose
Restrained, dry, processed oak, varnish, a little solvent, light mineral notes, stone dust; floral tones, salty grape leaves, light motifs of needles and turpentine.
    • Taste
Sharp, lacquer-oak, a wave of red pepper, oily, orange peel, caramel.
    • Finish
Spicy, warming, ginger, lemon peel, a little berry-fruit notes, oak in the background, something vegetable is sour-bitter.

  2. p4blo scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Clean, no off notes, but not extremely convincing. This is a very correct whisky, but lacks some wow factor that would make it stand out.
    • Nose
Some typical bourbon notes with apples, pears, vanilla, honey, but also a clear sherry cask influence with dried prunes and dates, toffee. Whiffs of citrus and malt too.
    • Taste
Sweet, mostly on dried fruits, toffee, vanilla and apples. Plenty of wood spices too. Alcohol is integrated perfectly.
    • Finish
Sweet and spicy, dried fruits echo in the finish, wood spices with pepper and ginger are at play too.

  4. WhiskyLovingPianist did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

N: Vibrant oaky=grain, fruity and jammy with soft vanillas - its all here
T: Jammy, definitely and spicy. Goes a bit murky with a spirit led direction, but theres some quality oak on hand to soften the blow towards a sweet and dry finish
F: Oaky and still murky with some sherry influence for an oaky/sweet conclusion.
C: Good beginnings but gets a bit lost along the way.

    Scores a B-
