Despite its only 41%, it gives off some aromas, both in the nose and on the tongue. The finish is not too short, only the Madeira barrel is not to be seen in my opinion.

    -Blindtasting-
    • Nose
      83 83
Fresh and extremely fruity nose, apple scent, mirabelle plums, fresh peaches. Honey and vanilla, some fresh wood. Leaf green, hay. The fruit notes become sweeter over time, seem to mix with the honey.
    • Taste
      82 82
Very mild onset, dry, much more spicy than the nose. The freshness from the nose gives way to pleasant, dry wood aromas. Nevertheless, the vomited fruit can also be found on the tongue, only more reserved, more subdued. Spices of tart herbs as well as thyme and bay leaves spread throughout the mouth. Vanilla powder, rapeseed honey, toffee, milk coffee. Raisins in sweet liqueur over time.
    • Finish
      82 82
Although mild on the tongue, it still makes steam out for a long time. Dry, woody, spicy, slightly tart, with dried fruit, vanilla and forest honey.

    Notes from a blind tasting
    • Nose
Granaries, hops, light grapes and a slight touch of wine gum. With light citrus notes. Limes, tangerines. Vanilla and forest honey lie in the background. After a while, spruce needles and mead are added
    • Taste
Very light, almost watery. The aromas only come gradually. Sour apples, peach, dried hops, thyme, bay leaves and freshly cut wood. Gradually cloves and a slightly peppery sharpness join. Slightly fragrant with a "bourbon glue note".
    • Finish
Malty and fruity with hints of apples and spices. Slightly metallic.

Young on the nose. Lots of, let's say too much bubble gum in the nose. Combined with a hint of metallic youth. So nevertheless we give it a try. Oh, that's nice at first. If it would be a medium priced fruit brandy. A lot of fruit in there, but also that fruity bubble gum. Cherries and strawberrie in particular. And then it's gone immediately.

Maybe a dram for a summer evenening after a very hot day. Apart from that, nah!

  4. Martin1965 scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
      Apple, citrus, caramel, raisins
    • Taste
Fruits, green apple, a little bitter
    • Finish
      Medium long with apple

For such a young whisky - super charged

Super boring and missable. Really just water with some flavouring.
    • Nose
Light, thin and pasticy. Some leather and rose bushes.
    • Taste
Even more light and thin, some light basil/rosemary. Tastes mostly just like flavoured water.
    • Finish
      Quick and sweet

    A tame dragon.

Nose: crème brûlée, grass, clover, windolene and (please forgive me) urinal cake.
Taste: Raspberry and clotted cream, woody and malty. It feels thin, light, mild and watery with no burn at all. Where is this dragon’s fire?
    Finish: sugar-dusted toast, light pepper.

I couldn’t put my finger on it for ages but something seemed artificial yet familiar. It finally registered that it was a cheap nightclub shot from fadó fadó. A resurrected memory of slamming B52s, which for those that don’t know is made up of layered coffee liqueur, irish cream, and orange liqueur. Bizarre!

A lightweight whisky. In case of a whisky tasting session this whisky better can be tasted at the beginning
    • Nose

First sweet as expected from the smell. Later a bit more woody
    • Finish

      Long and soft
