Colour: Dark Amber Sherry, Cola like.
Nose: is complex with dark chocolate and fruits, cherries, strawberries, old musty leather.
Palate: Compliments the nose with similar qualities. The palate shows up with dark fruits, dark high percentage (85% plus) cocoa chocolate along with leather like tannins. Update November 15th, 2015: Half way through the bottle and with the assistance of some possible oxidization I've managed to pickup some interesting Jamaican Rum and Coconut notes. Really cool to see this Glendronach progress like that.
Finish: Medium in length and dry leaving impressions of fruits with tannic qualities, figs, dark cherries and cocoa powder.
Comments: Overall this whisky is an absolute knock out, there is next to no sulphur if any at all which a lot of people regard as being a deal breaker on a whisky. Glendronach is definitely one of my favourites and this cask gives you an awesome feel for a stellar Glendronach Single Cask.
