5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 85.63 points
- the taste is convincing, nose and finish are a bit behind
burnt pine cones, spicy, rather dry sherry, vanilla pudding, malty, caramel, some oak
sweeter than expected, light smoke, malty, caramel, slightly spicy oak, chocolate and nut, not really fruity
After the first sip hardly any smoke, after a second but clear, a little grape skin
Complex. Campfire smoke rises in the nose. Honey. Vanilla. Cinnamon. Plums. Poppy. Malt. Pickled cherries.
Sweet. Brown sugar. Vanilla icecream. Black Forest cake.
Long. Lovely. Smoked ham. Malt. Oak. Poppy. Vanilla. Towards the end smoking again with salami.
- A very decent dram, albeit my weakest GE so far.
Light campfire smoke is above the whisky. Behind it is a fine honey sauce, some light grapes, biscuit dough and vanilla fudge. The nose is light and gentle. A touch of spice completes the picture.
Smoke and caramel toffee hand in hand. Spicy and sweet, stronger than the nose. Vanilla, fruit cake, grapes, raisins and chocolate.
Long with oak, raisins, chocolate and vanilla.
