Candied cherry, blackberry and caramelised sugar.
Blueberry, salted toffee, dark chocolate and spice. With water a little peach.
Cocoa, blueberry, toffee and cookie.
- Sweet, fruity, but still tastes quite young ... a nice malt for dessert.
- This was my second Glen Els and again I was fascinated by the nose. A sniff whisky. Tasty, something to "tingle" for my taste and young, but delicious. I think you also realize that it is a German whisky.
Sweet and fruity, young and slightly metallic.
Again sweet and fruity with a tart note, dark fruits, wooden and light tingles on the palate.
Long and powerful, fruity yet somehow tart.
Strong sherry. Rum pot. Mulled wine. Dark berries. Plums. Currant jelly. Cookie dough with chocolate pieces. Vanilla.
Strong. Oily. Raisins. Currants. Sherry. Plums. Cloves. Cinnamon.
Long. Light. Strong oak flavors. Coffee. Cinnamon. Grapes. Dark berries. Drying.
- joins the midfield of the previously tried Glen Els.
very fruity, prunes, dark fruits, some oak in the background, mint, some chocolate, coconut
sweet caramel, fruity, raisins, raspberries, topped with chocolate, creamy, a hint of coffee
gets spicier and oak comes out, grape skins, rather short
