Too much blunt oak and a very narrow flavour profile ranks this one the lowest out of all the Wild Turkey range for me, although this is very drinkable.
Especially if you're really into apple crumble with vanilla custard, with some freshly cut oak tree chips as a topping.
    • Nose
A bit shy at first, apple crumble with vanilla custard, juicy golden delicious apples, butterscotch toffees, becomes oakier after a few minutes along with the rye notes developing to the fore, perfumy notes, red apples, after some time vanilla essence galore but also a strange green fresh cut wood note, very rounded and smooth for a Turkey.
    • Taste
Heavy on vanilla and baked apples, some perfumy rye notes, and an omnipresent 'bright' oak note.
    • Finish
      Vanilla and, surprise, oak.
      Medium length.

Ethanol, cherry, almond, vanilla, caramel, sweet & dessert on the nose, thin yet oaky on the nose, big vanilla wafer palate entry, light baking spices, then cherry and oak rejoin for a quick finish
I like the flavors a lot, just wish the mouthfeel and finish were more.

Eyes: deep copper and gold smelling fragrance. Nose: baskets full of citrus, large bouquets of flowers (hyacinths, roses), cream, maple syrup, cereals and butter desserts form a solid middle. Building blocks, leather bags, and old bookshelves in the library are not much woody spices. Then came red date cheese, roasted almond slices, licorice plum soup, honey chicken wings, pepper, ginger, sand pile, a little fermented taste.
Taste Palate: jujube cake, rye highlight, ginger, wood chips, coke, black chocolate, cumin and pepper, rosette, sweet orange, bergamot, cinnamon vanilla latte, thin walnut, butter and puffing finish. Finish: Long, wood shavings, cinnamon powder, icing sugar, yellow rock sugar Body: medium weight, good thickness, medium fat,

    Nose: 87/100
    Palate: 88/100
    Finish: 86/100
    Body: 87/100
Overall: 87.5/100, the exquisiteness is not like 8 years, the woody spices brought by rye are even more, and the momentum can be felt through the wine body and flavor.

    • Nose
The honey caramel cream tacos are fresh rosaceae fruits and blueberry juice under the choking sweetness. There is very little varnish, which is good. In my heart, it is a passing bourbon. The sweet sauce made of bell pepper has the faintly hard European buns and metallic luster of rye, and cinnamon powder. For this age, the oak flavor is not high or low.
    • Taste
Is this degree a bit low, or has the edges and corners been smoothed out in high age? Vanilla, citrus, fruit tea, slightly astringent cheese, smoked honey, roasted vegetables, banana peel, metallic bitterness.

Medium, average fat, sweet, no acid, no tannin, no astringency, slight bitterness, no spicy feeling.
    • Finish
Long-lasting, licorice, latex paint, roasted honey.

    • Nose
A lots of caramel, and lacquer on this one. Pretty one sided, as most bourbons are, but see what happens later.
    • Taste
Yes, I have tried it many-many times before, and let me tell you, I could not even get through my 6 ml sample. It speaks for itself, it is an oak bomb, but not in a good way
    • Finish
Extreme oak, with a little trace of vanilla.

I do not want to knock it too much. This is a good example, why people are thinking bourbon is subordinated to scoth.

This one is very oily on the palate. Water sweetens the nose and adds oak, and it adds stronger citrus on the palate. The finish is very long. I still prefer the Rare Breed, personally.
    • Nose
Dried cherries, vanilla, caramel, oak, marshmallow and orange peel, and a touch of dill and oregano.
    • Taste
Bitter herbal (parsley) with pepper, bitter cocoa, oak, and a sudden burst of citrus with subtle dried fruits.
    • Finish
      Oily vanilla and sweet almonds.

A very round bourbon, you can not say much against vllt. a little lack of character.
    • Nose
Directly you notice a nice, sweetish rye note, the proportion must be higher, bakery, chocolate ware, apricot, creamy sweets, honey, only the slightest adhesive note, fresh leather
    • Taste
Sweet, sugared apricot, brown sugar, cotton candy, again the sweetish rye, now a little more in the background, milk chocolate, vanilla, honey, leather
    • Finish
Dry apricot pieces, trail mix, brown sugar, some glue, leather, dry-sweet, short to medium long

Aroma: bitter oak, vanilla, honey, spice, some smoke
Taste: gentle, then spicy, cloves, oak
Finish: medium long, oak, black pepper, again cloves

  16. mds51 scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Slight adhesive note, cinnamon, anise, apples, vanilla, forest honey, light tannin note,
    • Taste
Very gentle, vanilla, cinnamon, light egg spice, apples (red), light touch, oranges.
    • Finish
The adhesive note remains in the mouth, in addition to the slight eicha and a subtle sweetness.
