the only shop price on here is £8500, if you paid a tenth of that at £850 I would still say politely you were being robbed.

It is a decent whisky nothing more, originally I thought 85 points was about right but there are some nice flavours in the mix that elevate above that and the nose is pretty good too, in fact that is the best part.

    Price is for original price.

Good enough and in parts it is really nice but not particularly well balanced IMHO and the bitter/dry notes lose it some points.
    • Nose
Ripe black cherry mixed with sherry and some salted caramel.

Ice cream wafers, a hints of orange and old leather with mulled wine spice.
    • Taste
Very spicy and fiery at first with an invasion of oak that you would not normally expect from a 20 year old.

Mixed fruit gum notes emerge which are pleasant but again the oaky bitterness is noticeable but has subsided a little.

Thankfully the bitter notes diminish with time but it is a little cloying and dry there are however some very nice orange notes coming through.
    • Finish
Quite long, sherry notes get a little sweeter and the spice remains.

Coconut and exotic fruits, flower nectar, oily noble - an incomparable and unforgettable nose - too good to drink - inhale completely.
Unfortunately on the palate almost as well - dream fabric

light amber color, very beautiful nose marked by wax, wood, old furniture, leather, plum, dried fruits (apricot, orange especially), apricot jam, spices (pepper, ginger). The mouth is a little less well, powerful, texture slightly thick, well integrated alcohol, quite dry, slightly marked by coconut, more marked by the dry fruits than the nose and more and more spicy. Long finish, spicy, woody, not very fruity.

Nose: A lot of oriental spices, juicy sweet oak, sandalwood, a tiny bit oak in the background, thick and rich, with water a bit more oak and a tad pepper

Mouth: Spiced syrup, light whiffs of Japanese curry rice, oak, some sweetness but generally more dry

Finish: Very long, warm, spices, sweet oak, a bit flower nectar, soy sauce in the background but without saltiness

Comments: Amazing! Very unique and loaded with flavors on different layers. A lot to discover everywhere and just a pleasure to drink.
