a fresh, prickling, balanced and semi-complex whisky with aroma’s of lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon oil, grass, hay, straw, heather, soft honey, icing sugar, subtle smoke, fresh burned peat, cedar wood, a hint of dried fruits, barley, cereals, fresh figs, caraway seeds, year, bread dough, prunes and smoked fish.
a big, powerful, mouth coating, and well balanced whisky with aroma’s of bitter grapefruit zest, smoke, butter, vanilla, dry peat, white pepper, stem ginger, sweet lemon, icing sugar, light honey, a hint of new leather, pear drops, breakfast cereals, apple flavoured Turkish Delight, golden delicious apples, grass, and a soft medical tone.
A long and sweet finish with aroma’s of the obvious peat smoke, apples, pears, grapefruit zest, pineapple, licorice root, anise, white wine and icing sugar.
Much much fruitier and complex than I expected. This one also seems to have a more mature character and it delivers a much more balanced drinking experience. The finish is quite sweet which leaves me longing for another sip. This one is dangerously drinkable!
