  1. ValeronDeportivo scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Tasted blind in day 9 of the Usquebaugh Society Blind Tasting Comprtition 2015.

My guess was a Glen Keith, good and fruity. 22 yo, at 51%.

Really amazed this is Edradour, so very different and BETTER than I would have expected.
    • Nose
Oranges! And orange flavoured sweets. Nice quality oak and soft herbs. Hints of other tropical fruits, and vanilla.
    • Taste
Strong orange taste, sweet and a little zesty. Lime with some herbal bitterness. With time more fruits develop, peaches mostly.
    • Finish
Soft, a little short. Fruity and a little floral. Tinned apricots. Very clean. A light bitterness.

  2. KayMeertens scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

    Blind tasting of a sample.
    • Nose
Caramel, vanilla, straw, apple, cookie, orange and a little peach. Eventually banana, more peach and a whiff of raspberry. Water adds honey to it.
    • Taste
Caramel, orange, vanilla, apple and oaky spice. Also here honey when adding water.
    • Finish
      Orange candy, caramel and honey.

Fantastic whisky. Definitley one of the best Edradours i've ever tasted.

Tasted at day 9 of the Usquebaugh Society blind tasting competition 2015.

My guess was a Clynelish, 20yo at 50%.
    • Nose
Thick oily, butterscotch, creamy, sweet honey, grapes, apples, some oak, some citrus. Fantastic!
    • Taste
Thick oily, sweet honey apples, citrus, butterscotch, vanilla, citrus, some nuttiness, oaky. Almost the same as the nose.
    • Finish
Medium long, vanilla, a little bitterness, only slightly drying, malty oak.
