This is the 2nd release of Adnams Single Malt No. 1 - the bottle is the same design as the 1st release but the neck tag states "Release Date June 2014".

According to head distiller John McCarthy - "This
release has a more creamy and vanilla flavour profile than our first release".

Tasting notes from the Adnams website: "At 43% abv, Adnams Single Malt No 1 is golden in colour
with rich vanilla and spice aromas. The mouth-feel is super-smooth, with notes
of honey, cinnamon and warm spices."

Nose: Vanilla, sour fruit. Oak. a bit of Clove and Cinnamon. gets a bit fruitier with water, but also much more oak. a bit to much to my taste.

Taste: Full and sweet taste. Oily, oaky vanilla. some peppery spice

Finish: Bitter oak. Sour Fruits return.
