The move is so loud and easy
    • Nose
The aroma is slightly acidic, but the prime is mainly vanilla, some nuts and a little bit of alcohol - not too much, the scent is not very interesting but not even unpleasant
    • Taste
The taste is light and lush - virtually only feel vanilla, caramel and milk chocolate
    • Finish
In turn, vanilla, caramel and milk chocolate

23rd June 2016 is the date of.,,, Malt ’n’ Copper’s European referendram! We begin in France WB and finish in Scotland WB
N: Initial whiffs are ‘strange’, very strange indeed, it pongs in fact! Turmeric meets Balcones and a funky-malty-toffee,… oh it’s drains!. Think i’ll let this settle for a while, but an hour later nothing much has changed [with a Glencairn lid on]. ‘Nick the nous’ called it butyric. After some wiki reading, i’m sure he’s not far from the truth. Does improve with airing however, so it’s lid right off. I’ve never known a malt so positively responsive to oxidisation. Moving swiftly on,….
T: Ok, it’s much more acceptable to taste, and altogether familiar. Tasty and chewy, a fair-bodied dram with a solid presence and poise certainly if not a huge deal of movement. It’s rather like a bourbon but importantly, with a deep, soft and rich sour-mash spongy heart.
F: Slides lazily into a long finish - a fresher, waxy, vanilla-cream=light banoffee, bourbon experience. Savoury=sour-fresh finish.
C: This one a World Whisky award WWA in 2015. Not sure what it smelled like then but aside from the nose the rest was ok, sincerely ok. Decent folk have lots of time for this - so batch inconsistency i’m sure. Where now, former Czechoslovakia WB.

    Scores a D-

A dominant, artificially tasting aroma deters unfortunately. Behind it still interesting further flavors, but unfortunately only behind it.
    • Nose
Floral, some caramel, glue, alcohol, manure
    • Taste
      Like the nose.
    • Finish
      Very short, sweet, almost caramel.
