Whisky Reviews for Edradour 2006 Barolo Cask
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.55 points
- Solid edradour. Nice cask and good fruity nose, but to little influence on the palate and to young to make it great.
- ... I like it. I like Edradour, it's a pretty idiosyncratic adult who comes of age when he's old.
fat, sweet fruit, plum jam, marmalade, cinnamon, with some nail polish / thinner, after some time bitter, woody
Unusually, wood immediately directly superficial, that is usually only on the back of the tongue, spicy, fat, velvety. bitter and again cinnamon - orange marmalade with lots of cinnamon and dark chocolate
there remains a certain ginger-clove-sharpness, with dark chocolate
Here noticeably alcohol is noticeable, something pulls in the nose, at the beginning I had briefly the association of litter box, it remains a bit musty, leathery, rotten wood, some fresh mint, rather light fruits in the background, quince, mirabelle, peach, with time also light honey sweetness and vanilla
f ruchtig, sweet, honey, light spice, again the above bright fruits, rather light, here now surprisingly little alcohol
light, fruity and sweet, medium long, quite pleasant
