Jop - that's cool. You can safely drink without water (as i did) but I can imagine that with water is also good! A great part - but bite is nice :) One more gulp: Now this caramel comes even more. A bit dried fruit in the nose, brown sugar and a stain in the panties! Yes 11 years in the port wine barrel are already awesome. Not as intrusive sweet as some of the side by side with Port Finish, but - how should I say - just different.
    • Nose
A bit sour, peach, nut, a bit bitter, like walnut. Yes, the right strawberry edge as often in port whisky I do not have. It's rather all the orange fruits like peach, mango, apricot. The acidity is pleasant, so not vinegar but rather rosé wine. I hardly have any vanilla and wood. He also smells fresh rather than typical Springbank musty.
    • Taste
Caramel and .... Boah that has to be sorted first ... Yes caramel, nuts, leather armchairs, and the aforementioned mustiness (my association with the chair). After 5 seconds of chewing, the quite heavy seasoning, the oak cargo and the fruits come after. But also not really strawberry and the typical dark fruits, but rather tangerine, or orange peel. Maybe it's the oak that reminds me of the orange peel's bitterness? Breathing through my nose I have a touch of cinnamon, as well as a kind of sugar that I can not really define. I just call it 'cutie'. The whole thing is underlined by a not so fat smoky note as one would expect.
    • Finish
For ages. The malt settles between the tooth and the cheeks and does not want to give way anymore. The mouth is constantly occupied with this pleasant bitterness. The acid I had in my nose is totally fizzy! In the finish, then again shows above game. Bauer gives this yoghurt with cereals, apricots and mango. This mouthfeel I have .... great!

    Nose:-
Intense root and herb peat. Trademark pungency cling by the rusty
mineral and coastal notes. After water, soft tropical fruit reveal, with
    tinge of nail polish.

    Palate:-
Big and vibrant mouthfeel. Rush of flavours make it handful to accept
    on first sip. Take a
second sip to really enjoy the complexity. Refine sweet maraschino
cherry and red dates with oak spiciness and dryness, good intensity,
    firm structure. Unbendable.

Finish:- Smooth and long finish. Dry and raw nature. Chewy dram with creamy fruit aftertaste. Whiff of banana and red dates.

One of the best I had tried lately, Totally a worthy winner as Best Campbeltown on WWA 2015.

the smoke is OK and fits
The malt is great and I like it
the musty is very light, others have more of it
careful with water; only drop by drop
    • Nose
dark, smoked ham, slightly ash, minimal smoke, sweet, plums, slightly sour
with water: more red fruit, no more smoke, nice vanilla, green herbs (sage?)
with the 1920 Blendersglas: good vanilla in the nose
    • Taste
soft and oily on the palate
Smoke, oak becomes stronger, browned bananas, dark sugar, dark caramel, slightly orange peel, slightly old leather that makes itself noticeable from one corner of the room
gets bitter, spicy, red fruit comes
with water: dark malt, light strawberry
    • Finish
      long
bitter, oak, very sweet, heavy, ham, astringent !!, slightly musty, minimal smoke, red fruit (cherry?)
with water: slightly tobacco, more oak, leather

Port + smoke in great interaction. Not very complex, but it just gives away totally in terms of taste.
    • Nose
      89 89
The nose fits the name of the series, because it screams red, written in bold, over-ripe red fruits, not very sweet, but sour fruity, behind it is creamy, caramel, vanilla, like the cake floor under the fruit cover, the smoke is there, without playing a leading role, slightly spicy, towards wood smoke, over time, the spice is more dominant, some oak, leather, brown sugar, the nose is heavier and heavier, shortly it smells slightly burned
    • Taste
      90 90
oily, the mouth is full, wow, sweet, red fruit, raspberry and cherry, slightly bubbly, great, the smoke lies like a pleasant veil over everything, wood smoke, short dry intermezzo, caramel, a hint of oak, supple, very pleasant in To drink cask strength
    • Finish
      88 88
Nut comes to it, the red fruits last a long time, the smoke slowly fades, warming

one to savour - the petrol elements would suggest it wouldn't work as is my experience with Kilkerran but they are more intriguing then offputting in this bottling. Great marks for palate and finish.
    • Nose
      82 82
      sooty, rubber, petrol, red wine
    • Taste
      87 87
syrup and rich berries with peat in the mix heading into the
    • Finish
      86 86
medium+; powerful with burnt plastic emerging. A hint of woody bitterness near the dying end

The port influence on the nose is barely, but on the taste it comes nicely. Another good long finish from Longrow.
    • Nose
Peat, herbals, salted minerals, exotic fruits and musty basement.
    • Taste
Powerful and spicy. Citruses, cheese, pepper and ginger, cocoa and wood smoke.
    • Finish
      Long, bittersweet, spicy.
