My notes state this should not be called a whisky. It is simply a
German "Bierbrand" (the same way a German "Weinbrand" is not a Cognac or
Armagnac at all...). It has a very mashy nose (like fruit brandy) and a comparable punchy mashy taste. Not much of a malt whisky in it...
