    The quality of BenRiach and GlenDronach's single bits is a good habit.
    • Nose
      The smell of dense, chocolate leather. Raisins, heavier over-ripened fruits, dates, figs, cinnamon warmth, tobacco, dark cane sugar. (90 b)
    • Taste
      How it smells and tastes. Chocolate, cinnamon, tanned wood, cane sugar, caramel. It is sweet, velvety, rich and distinctly sherry. (92 b)

    a very refined sherry monster.
    • Nose
      sherry, dates, thick syrup, herbal. Intense, complex, delicious.
    • Taste
      sherry sweetness, mild spicy nuts. Demerara sugar. Superb sweet sherried taste.
    • Finish
      long, sweet and sherried.

    Leaving this glass empty overnight for sniffing the day after and wow, the dark cocoa that was ending the otherwise spicy finish is now over whelming. This is a masterpiece in my opinion. Shared it with a lot of friends so the bottle is soon to be empty, must hurry up to buy another one.

    • Nose
      Fantastic nose with plenty of dark dried fruits, figs and prunes in particular. Vanilla sugar and some sweet black berry jam. Dry wood, oil paint and some basement-like note as well.
    • Taste
      Immediately warm and spicy with creamy texture and some Eau de Cologne, dark roasted coffee beans, roasted almonds and again complex dried fruits and wood. Not restricted to figs and prunes on the palate but also sweet raisins and apricots with some underlying vanilla custard kind of sweetness. After a while (especially with some water and time) more of this sweetness comes forward together with rum-like, sugarcane-molasses-kind-of notes.
    • Finish
      the finish is long and sustaining with sweet and sour notes on the back of the tongue, the spiciness really comes forward in the finish with nutmeg, allspice and black pepper but also overripe banana and dark cocoa.
