Invergordon is the best grain for me. Loosely malt taste and deepness. Big grain.
    • Nose
      90 90
Tropical fruits, spicy oak, glue, mint, vanilla, rum and milk caramel.
    • Taste
      90 90
Powerful. Exotic fruits, acidic citruses, vanilla, matured oak, cinnamon and ginger.
    • Finish
      89 89
      Long, creamy, sweet, spicy.

A strong whiskey with a full flavor full of surprises: sweet, spicy, creamy. Very nice dram.
    • Nose
Direct: Naturally adhesive. Sweet fruit tones. Banana. After an hour: Less glue, less sweet. Spicy. Pepper, clove.
    • Taste
Direct: Sweet and sharp. Banana and pepper. Intense despite normal ABV. After an hour: Very spicy. Pepper, cloves, nutmeg. Something softer.
    • Finish
Direct: Creamy and full. After an hour: Full, creamy and spicy.

I found this a pleasure to smell and drink. Beautiful in balance, the smell, taste and finish nicely in line. Delicious full and sweet, banana and candy.
    • Nose
Just after pouring Velpon glue, but after an hour: Delicious sweet, vanilla, banana, wood. I also get the hint of eucalyptus.
    • Taste
Sweet! Full, creamy. Vanilla, banana. In the background a very light acid. Some wood influences. After a while even a sweet sweetness.
    • Finish
Now he occasionally becomes somewhat sharp / peppery, but not unpleasant at all. Sturdy. Long, warm, sweet. Vanilla, banana, wood influences. Later in the aftertaste the sweetness is added, a jellybeans like aftertaste remains.

    Nose:
D'r is not really a lot of air ...... What wood, grass, vanilla, mint and eucalyptus. But you have to find it with a light.
Be a bit hesitant with water, as you drown those very old whiskeys rather quickly.

    Taste:
ZOOOOOOWWWWWHÉ! That is just 100% the opposite of the nose. An explosion of sweets, vanilla, caster sugar, wood, pencil shavings. The whiskey is slightly sour, not very disturbing, but I do understand that they have not waited until the 50 years.

    Body:
    Full of greasy and creamy

    Finish:
Medium. Vanilla ice cream and wood.

    Comment:
A nice old man! 87 points. The balance is not quite there, at least not within the nose, taste and finish. The nose is not very interesting, the taste is 90 points and the finish is somewhat flat and short. Nevertheless a good grain!

I wanted to add at this point that I'm actually a Grain fan. This bottling was really disappointing for me though.
    • Nose
Clearly a grain. Very sweet and reminiscent of Caribbean rum. After some time in the glass, unfortunately, flavors of inferior alcohol come to light. About cheaper vodka for mixing. The nose is getting fuzzier and rancid with a lot of sharpness. The sweetness disappears completely - a pity.
    • Taste
Starts burning pretty fast. But not because of the alcohol. It must be a sharpness that has produced the barrel. Unfortunately, no typical sweet Grain. No, not even a typical whiskey. Very watery, without complexity and quickly bitter. Again, I can only say: very much a pity.
    • Finish
      Short and bitter
